Es posible que no sepas cómo pedir ayuda a las personas o incluso cómo invocar a Dios para pedirle ayuda para superarlo. Piensa unos minutos: ¿Cuál es el valle más oscuro por el que has pasado? ¿No fue encajar con amigos, luchas en la escuela, la muerte de una mascota, la muerte de un miembro de la familia o una pelea con un amigo? ¿Temías el futuro y lo que te esperaba?
Dios quiere que recuerdes que, incluso en los momentos más oscuros y confusos de tu vida, no tienes que temer ni ceder ante lo que Satanás pone en tu mente porque Dios está contigo. Por ejemplo, podría hacerte pensar que nunca tendrás éxito en la vida porque estás luchando mucho en la escuela o que nunca harás amistades duraderas. Al contrario, Dios te ayudará en la escuela y te bendecirá con verdaderas amistades que durarán toda la vida.
La próxima vez que pases por un valle oscuro, di esta oración: “Señor, gracias porque siempre estás conmigo, incluso en los momentos más difíciles de mi vida”.
Valley of Darkness
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
What is the darkest valley that I’ve gone through in life? It can feel as though you’re walking in a valley of darkness, confusion, fear, and uncertainty during your teenage years. You may not know how to ask people for help or how to even call on God to ask Him for help getting through it. Think for a few minutes: What is the darkest valley that you’ve gone through? Was it not fitting in with friends, struggles in school, the death of a pet, the death of a family member, or a falling out with a friend? Did you fear the future, and what lay ahead?
God wants you to remember that, even in the darkest and most confusing times of your life, you don’t have to fear or give in to what Satan puts into your mind because God is with you. For example, he might make you think that you’ll never succeed in life because you’re struggling so hard in school or that you will never make any lasting friendships. On the contrary, God will help you in school, and He will bless you with true friendships that will last a lifetime.
The next time you go through a dark valley, say this prayer: “Lord, thank you that you’re always with me, even during the most difficult times of my life.”
