¿Cómo debo orar? ¿De qué manera debo orar? ¿Cómo podemos pensar correctamente en cuanto a la forma en que debemos orar? En el Sermón de la Montaña, hallamos la enseñanza de Jesús sobre cómo orar. Y nosotros queremos orar correctamente.
Lo que recomendaría, en cuanto a la oración, es la comprensión de que nuestro Padre sabe lo que necesitamos antes de que lo pidamos. Queremos crecer en la oración; quiero ser mejor en la oración. En toda mi vida cristiana, quiero crecer en esa área, como en cualquier otra área de mi vida cristiana. Pero me siento reconfortado porque Dios no responde a mis oraciones basándose en la naturaleza, la estructura o el lenguaje de las mismas. Él sabe lo que necesito antes de que lo pida.
El mismo Espíritu de Dios intercede por mí, con gemidos indecibles. Luchamos con la oración, sin embargo, estamos llamados a buscar al Señor. Cada uno de nosotros necesita orar sabiendo quién es él y conociendo cuál es su verdad. Me esfuerzo por estar de acuerdo con él, con mi mente y mi corazón, sabiendo que lo que él hace trasciende mi capacidad de orar. Eso me reconforta porque si las respuestas a mis oraciones dependieran de mi habilidad en la oración, no vería al Señor hacer mucho. La oración ferviente de una persona justa logra mucho, pero incluso en eso hay debilidad. Si tomamos a la persona más justa, fuera de Cristo mismo, el hombre o la mujer más justos que podamos imaginar, tendrá alguna debilidad en su vida de oración, porque aún no está glorificado.
Así que acudo a Dios como uno de sus hijos, y doy voz a lo que hay en mi corazón y en mi mente. Él sabe lo que necesito; lo sabe antes de que se lo pida. Él responde, no basándose en mi justicia, sino en la justicia de Cristo. Por eso acudo a él en el nombre de su Hijo. Voy a Dios basándome en lo que su Hijo ha hecho por mí. Acudo a él en el poder del Espíritu. Me acerco confiando en el Espíritu de Dios para que interceda por mí cuando ni siquiera sé qué pedir. Esto me da un gran consuelo. Soy capaz de derramar mi corazón a mi Padre y saber que él está obrando.
Oración:
¡Amado Espíritu Santo! Eres tu en nosotros que nos revela la verdadera oración que sale del corazón de Dios, no es en nuestras fuerzas, ni en nuestra sabiduría, si no en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo y su justicia en nosotros que nos permite ir ante el Padre para llegar a su corazón.
Nuestra boca no se obre aún y tu ya sabes de que tenemos necesidad, en ti hallamos consuelo, en el nombre de Jesús, ¡Amén!
Prayer
How should I pray? How should I pray? How can we think correctly about how we should pray? In the Sermon on the Mount, we find Jesus’ teaching on how to pray. And we want to pray correctly.
What I would recommend, in terms of prayer, is the understanding that our Father knows what we need before we ask for it. We want to grow in prayer; we want to be better at praying. Throughout my Christian life, I want to grow in that area, as in any other area of my Christian life. But I am comforted because God does not answer my prayers based on the nature, structure, or language of the prayers, rather He knows what I need before he asks for it.
The same Spirit of God intercedes for me, with incredibles sounds. We struggle with prayer, yet we are called to seek the Lord. Each of us needs to pray knowing who He is and knowing what His truth is. I strive to agree with Him, with my mind and heart, knowing that what He does transcends my ability to pray. That comforts me because if the answers to my prayers depended on my ability to pray, I would not see the Lord do much. The fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much, but even in that there is weakness. If we take the most righteous person out of Christ himself, the most righteous man or woman we can imagine, he will have some weakness in his prayer life, because he is not yet glorified.
So I come to God as one of His children, and give voice to what is in my heart and mind. He knows what I need; he knows it before he asks. He responds, not based on my righteousness, but on the righteousness of Christ. So I come to Him in the name of His Son. I am going to God based on what His Son has done for me. I come to Him in the power of the Spirit. I approach myself trusting in the Spirit of God to intercede for me when I don’t even know what to ask. This gives me great comfort. I am able to pour my heart out to my Father and know that He is at work.
Prayer:
Dear Holy Spirit! It is you in us who reveals to us the true prayer that comes out of the heart of God, not in our strength, nor in our wisdom, If not in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and His righteousness in us that allows us to go before the Father to reach His heart.
Our mouth is not yet open and you already know what we need, in you we find comfort, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
