La grandeza de nuestro Dios se muestra majestuosamente en toda su creación. Cuando alzamos los ojos al cielo nocturno, con todas las estrellas centelleantes y los lejanos planetas, casi al instante somos conscientes de lo pequeños que somos en su universo. Pero hay una maravilla mayor que la capacidad de Dios: el amor que tiene hacia la humanidad.
El Dios de todo esto, del universo y de todo lo que hay en él, es el mismo Dios que dio su vida para conocernos.
El Dios que creó el mundo con su palabra es el mismo Dios que habla con suavidad a nuestros corazones. Su amor por nosotros es tan inescrutable como los cielos.
Oración:
Padre, no entiendo cómo, a pesar de tu grandeza, puedes amarme de tal modo. Pero te lo agradezco de todo corazón.
A Greater Wonder
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? PSALM 8:3-4 ESV
The greatness of our God is displayed majestically throughout his creation. When we look into the night sky at all the twinkling stars and the far off planets, we realize almost instantly how small we are in his universe. But a greater wonder than the grandeur of God’s capacity is his value for mankind.
The God of all this—the universe and everything in it—is the same God who gave his life to know us. The God who spoke the world into being is the same God who speaks quietly to our hearts. His love for us is as unsearchable as the heavens.
Prayer:
Father, I don’t understand why you love me the way you do when you are as great as you are. But I am so thankful you do.
