Podemos quedar tan abrumados por nuestros propios problemas, vergüenza o ideas equivocadas que acabamos por perder de vista la verdad más bella y sencilla: nuestro Dios desea ardientemente mostrar su gracia. No busca manifestar su enfado o su castigo. No se alza para revelar su poder y su terrible grandeza, sino para tendernos su compasión.
Si entramos en la presencia de Dios con este punto de vista, su amor nos conmoverá, a pesar del miedo que podríamos tenerle a su justicia: el castigo que merecemos se ve superado por la gracia que él tanto ansía concedernos.

Me conmueve el poder de tu gracia hacia mí. Ayúdame a esperarte y a descansar siempre en tu gracia y tu compasión, más que en mis propias fuerzas y capacidad para hacer el bien.
Gracious

We can become so overwhelmed by our own shame, troubles, or misconceptions that we miss out on the most simple and beautiful truth—our God greatly desires to show us grace. He doesn’t long to show us his anger or his punishment. He doesn’t rise up to show us his power and his terrible greatness; he rises up to show us compassion.
When we enter God’s presence with this point of view, we are humbled by his love despite his justice—because the punishment we deserve has been outweighed by the grace he longs to give.
Prayer:
I am humbled by the power of your grace for me. Help me to wait for you and to always rely on your grace and your compassion more than my own strength and capacity for goodness.
