No pasa nada por lamentarse cuando las cosas no han ido como esperábamos. De verdad, no pasa nada. Todos tenemos días complicados: nos levantamos demasiado tarde, perdemos las llaves, no encontramos el otro calcetín… ¡y finalmente todo acaba yéndose al garete! Todo el mundo pasa por momentos en los que simplemente quiere tirar la toalla y rendirse. Por algún motivo pensamos que debemos tenerlo todo bajo control en todo momento. Pero no es así. No pasa nada por ser transparentes unos con otros: así los demás pueden mostrarnos su amor, animarnos y orar por nosotros.
Compartir nuestras dificultades no solo alivia nuestra carga, sino que nos recuerda que no estamos solos. Y, además, también permite que los demás se muestren transparentes.
Oración:
Padre, me libero de la idea de que debo tenerlo todo bajo control. Necesito que haya otros en mi vida que me ayuden y me den ánimos. Muéstrame a aquellos amigos con los que puedo ser transparente y ayúdame a ser una amiga fiable también para ellos.
Transparency
Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice. PROVERBS 27:9
It is okay to cry over spilled milk. It really is. We all have hard days—days where we wake up late, we lose the keys, we can’t find matching socks… and then the milk spills! We have those days where we just want to throw in the towel and call it quits. For some reason, we think we have to have it all together, all the time. We don’t though. It is okay to be transparent with each other. By doing so we allow others to love us, encourage us, and pray for us.
Sharing our struggles not only lessens our burdens but reinforces the fact that we are not alone. It also gives permission for others to be transparent as well.
Prayer:
Father, I give up the idea that I need to have everything together. I need others in my life to help encourage me. Show me the friends I can be transparent with, and help me be a trustworthy friend to them as well.
