Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece. FILIPENSES 4:13
Una joven estudiante universitaria intentaba tragarse el pánico cada vez que tenía que levantarse para hablar en su clase de oratoria. Aquel día en concreto, con manos sudorosas, voz trémula y rodillas temblorosas, se levantó para enfrentarse a sus compañeros de clase durante su discurso de cinco minutos. El profesor quedó impresionado con la presentación y le pidió que diera su mensaje a todo el cuerpo de estudiantes en el servicio que se celebraba en la capilla. Resulta interesante saber que la charla era sobre Filipenses 4:13, así que, ¿cómo iba a negarse? En el día señalado, llorando como una loca y a punto de sufrir una crisis nerviosa, ¡lo hizo! Dios mostró ser fiel a su palabra y le enseñó con este pequeño milagro que sí, que ella era capaz de hacer algo difícil porque Jesús era su fuerza.
¿A qué te enfrentas hoy? ¿A algo que sale completamente de tu zona de confort? ¿A algo que despierta todos tus miedos más arraigados y que te sume en el pavor? Consuélate al saber que Dios nunca te pedirá que hagas algo que no eres capaz de hacer.
Oración:
Ay, Señor, cuán agradecida te estoy por no tener que intentar ser fuerte y valiente por mí misma. Tú eres mi fuente de valor. Dame hoy lo que necesito para llevar a cabo tu voluntad.
All Things
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. PHILIPPIANS 4:13
A young college student swallowed down panic each time she had to get up in public speaking class. On this particular day, hands sweaty, voice shaky, and knees knocking, she stood up to face her classmates for her five-minute speech. The professor was impressed by the presentation and asked her to give her message to the entire student body in the chapel service. Interestingly enough, the talk was on Philippians 4:13. How could she refuse in good conscience? On the appointed day, praying like crazy, and on the verge of a meltdown, she did the deed! God proved to be true to his Word and showed her in this small way that indeed, she could do a difficult thing because Jesus was her strength.
What are you facing this very day? Something completely out of your comfort zone? Something that evokes a creeping fear from the very core of your being and blankets you with dread? Be comforted in knowing that God will never ask you to do something that he will not enable you to do.
Prayer:
Oh Lord, how grateful I am that I don’t have to try to be strong and courageous on my own. You are my source. Give me today what I need to carry out your will.
