1 Corintios 10:13
No os ha sobrevenido ninguna tentación que no sea humana; pero fiel es Dios, que no os dejará ser tentados más de lo que podéis resistir, sino que dará también juntamente con la tentación la salida, para que podáis soportar.
Pablo aclara que todos nosotros tenemos nuestro propio conjunto de tentaciones y que para cada uno de nosotros las circunstancias pueden ser diferentes. Pero la promesa que Dios da es la certeza de una ruta de escape, sin importar nuestras circunstancias. Se nos brinda el escape, pero debemos utilizarlo.
Nuestra debilidad es una de nuestras mayores excusas. Posiblemente seamos débiles, pero Dios es fuerte, y Él está dispuesto a ser nuestra fortaleza. Si confiamos en Él y tomamos los pasos de fe necesarios, nos ayudará a liberarnos de nuestras ataduras. Lo que necesitamos entender es que Satanás toma nuestras circunstancias “sin importar cuáles sean” y las usa para desarrollar fortalezas en nuestra vida. El diablo utilizará lo que pueda: nuestro sentir de debilidad, nuestros problemas de la infancia o las cosas equivocadas que hicimos cuando teníamos doce años. Si el diablo puede oscurecer nuestra mente y hacernos pensar que no hay posibilidad de que ganemos, hemos perdido. Necesitamos seguir recordándonos que servimos a un Dios victorioso, quien nos ha provisto las armas espirituales que necesitamos para destruir las fortalezas del diablo.
Una cosa más: cuando cedemos a la tentación, ¿no estamos diciendo sutilmente que Dios no es capaz de ayudarnos? Parece
ser que no disfrutamos de responsabilizarnos por completo de nuestras acciones o en muchos casos, de nuestra falta de acción, pero necesitamos hacerlo. Necesitamos dejar de sentir autocompasión, de culpar a otros y de ignorar las situaciones. Necesitamos creer en la promesa de Dios que declara que Él es fiel y que siempre nos liberará con abundante tiempo de sobra. No necesitamos vivir en temor, sintiendo siempre que nuestros problemas son demasiado para que los manejemos. Debemos tener una actitud “yo sí puedo”. Una que diga: “Puedo hacer lo que se necesite en el momento que se necesite”. Declara: Filipenses 4:13 Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece.
Algunas veces incluso somos tentados a culpar a Dios por nuestros problemas, pero debemos recordar las palabras citadas anteriormente: “…pero fiel es Dios, que no os dejará ser tentados más de lo que podéis resistir…”. Esa es la promesa de Dios, y Él pone su reputación en la línea con esa promesa. Dios nunca nos abandona ni nos deja indefensos. En esos momentos debemos estar atentos a lo que Dios nos está hablando o nos está mostrando, Él nos dice: “¡Miren! ¡Allí está la puerta de escape!
Nuestros problemas son personales y, con frecuencia, internos. Tienen que ver con nuestros pensamientos y con nuestras actitudes. Los resultados son que la conducta externa fluye de esos pensamientos y actitudes. Si mantenemos nuestra mirada dirigida hacia Jesús, y si escuchamos su voz, sabemos que siempre hay una ruta de escape para nosotros.
Oración:
Mi Señor Jesús, tu palabra es fiel y nos revela que aquel que es tentado con tu ayuda obtiene la salida, que somos fortalecidos por el poder de tu Santo Espíritu para poder vencer nuestras debilidades; hoy abrimos las puertas de nuestros corazones para que destruyas toda fortaleza o cosa alguna que el enemigo quiera utilizar para destruirnos y ser libres de toda atadura y obtener total victoria, en el nombre de Jesús, Amén!.
Temptations
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation that is not human has come upon you; But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted more than you can resist, but he will also give the way out, together with the temptation, so that you can endure.
Paul makes it clear that we all have our own set of temptations and that for each of us the circumstances may be different. But the promise that God gives is the certainty of an escape route, regardless of our circumstances. The escape is provided, but we must use it.
Our weakness is one of our biggest excuses. We may be weak, but God is strong, and He is willing to be our strength. If we trust him and take the necessary steps of faith, he will help us free ourselves from our bondage. What we need to understand is that Satan takes our circumstances “no matter what they are” and uses them to develop strengths in our lives. The devil will use what he can: our feelings of weakness, our childhood problems, or the wrong things we did when we were twelve years old. If the devil can darken our minds and make us think that there is no chance that we will win, we have lost. We need to keep reminding ourselves that we serve a victorious God, who has provided us with the spiritual weapons we need to destroy the devil’s strongholds.
One more thing: when we give in to temptation, are we not subtly saying that God is not able to help us? Seems
It is that we do not enjoy taking full responsibility for our actions or in many cases, for our inaction, but we need to. We need to stop feeling self-pity, blaming others, and ignoring situations. We need to believe in God’s promise that He is faithful and that He will always deliver us with plenty of time to spare. We don’t need to live in fear, always feeling that our problems are too much for us to handle. We must have an “I can do it” attitude. One that says: “I can do what is needed when it is needed.” Declares: Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Sometimes we are even tempted to blame God for our problems, but we must remember the words quoted above: “… but God is faithful, who will not let you be tempted more than you can resist …”. That’s God’s promise, and He puts his reputation on the line with that promise. God never abandons us or leaves us defenseless. In those moments we must be attentive to what God is speaking to us or is showing us, He tells us: “Look! There is the escape door!
Our problems are personal and often internal. They have to do with our thoughts and our attitudes. The results are that external behavior flows from those thoughts and attitudes. If we keep our gaze directed toward Jesus, and if we listen to his voice, we know that there is always an escape route for us.
Prayer:
My Lord Jesus, your word is faithful and reveals to us that whoever is tempted with your help obtains the exit, that we are strengthened by the power of your Holy Spirit to be able to overcome our weaknesses; Today we open the doors of our hearts so that you destroy any fortress or anything that the enemy wants to use to destroy us and be free from all ties and obtain total victory, in the name of Jesus,
Amen !.
