Grande es nuestro Señor, y muy poderoso; su entendimiento es infinito. SALMO 147:5
Cuando te acercas a Dios para pedirle ayuda para resistir a la tentación o perdón por un pecado que has cometido, ¿te sientes avergonzada? ¿Sientes que Dios es incapaz de comprender cómo puede ser que hayas vuelto a caer en lo mismo de nuevo?
Sabemos que Jesús fue tentado a pecar cuando estaba aquí, en la tierra, pero también sabemos que jamás cedió ante el pecado. Y puesto que él experimentó la tentación, siente también una gran compasión hacia nosotros cuando luchamos con el deseo de pecar.
Oración:
Jesús, ¡tú comprendes mi tentación de pecar porque tú fuiste tentado del mismo modo! Gracias por ser mi abogado y comprender lo difícil que es resistir la tentación. Dios, te pido tu misericordia y gracia en mis intentos de someterme a ti y huir del pecado.
Temptation
Great is our LORD and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite. PSALM 147:5
When you approach God to ask for help in resisting temptation, or for forgiveness for a sin you’ve given into, do you feel ashamed? Do you feel like God couldn’t possibly understand how you fell into that sin once again?
We know that Jesus was tempted to sin while he was here on earth, but we also know that he never gave into sin. Because he experienced temptation, he has great compassion toward us when we struggle with the desire to sin.
Prayer:
Jesus, you understand my temptation to sin because you were tempted in the same ways! Thank you for being my advocate and understanding how difficult it is to resist temptation. God I ask for your mercy and grace as I continue to submit to you and flee from sin.
