¿Cómo puedo honrar a Dios con mi cuerpo?
A medida que envejeces, es posible que veas a muchas personas en la escuela o en el trabajo con tatuajes en todo el cuerpo. ¿Has mirado un tatuaje y has pensado: “¡Guau, se ve tan genial! Se ve tan increíble. ¿Quiero conseguir uno?” ¿Un tatuaje, una vez hecho, es imposible de eliminar de tu cuerpo?
¿Sabías que las personas que hacen tatuajes te ponen agujas con tinta en la piel para hacerte los tatuajes? Si su umbral de dolor no es alto, no es una buena idea hacerse uno. No querrás causarte un dolor innecesario sólo por hacerte un tatuaje. Si el tatuaje está estropeado, resulta casi imposible arreglarlo. No necesitas tatuajes para encajar entre la multitud “de moda”. Además, no le agrada a Dios que te hagas un tatuaje. En la Biblia, se advierte contra los tatuajes en el cuerpo. También advierte contra cortes o marcas en el cuerpo de los muertos. En lugar de hacer esas cosas para encajar, recuerda que es más importante agradar a Dios honrando tu cuerpo.
La próxima vez que sientas la tentación de hacerte un tatuaje, puedes decir esta oración: “Señor, por favor ayúdame a honrar mi cuerpo de una manera que te agrade”.

How can I honor God with my body?
As you get older, you might see many people at school or at work with tattoos all over their bodies. Have you looked at a tattoo and thought, “Wow, that looks so cool! It looks so awesome. I want to get one?” A tattoo, once done, is impossible to remove from your body?
Did you know that the people who give tattoos put needles with ink into your skin to give you the tattoos? If your pain threshold is not high, it is not a good idea to get one. You don’t want to cause yourself needless pain just to get a tattoo. If the tattoo is messed up, it becomes almost impossible to fix. You do not need tattoos to fit in with the “in” crowd. Also, it is not pleasing to God for you to get a tattoo. In the Bible, it warns against you putting tattoos on your body. It also warns against cutting or making marks on your body for the dead. Rather than doing those things to fit in, remember that it is more important to please God by honoring your body.
The next time you’re tempted to get a tattoo, you can say this prayer: “Lord, please help me to honor my body in a way that is pleasing to you.”
