Oh Jehová, tú me has examinado y conocido.
Salmo 139:1
Incluso cuando estamos rodeados de gente, podemos sentirnos solos. Esto fue especialmente cierto para mí cuando comencé mi primer año de universidad en una escuela con 60.000 personas. Debería haber sido fácil para mí encontrar amigos con tanta gente a mi alrededor y, sin embargo, me sentía completamente solo.
Me sentí como un transeúnte anónimo en el campus; No conocía a nadie y nadie me conocía. Nunca me había sentido tan insignificante y pequeño. No fue hasta que comencé a comprender que Dios me conocía profundamente y siempre estaba conmigo que comencé a sentirme menos solo.
Y luego me llevó a otros que también me conocieron. Pero fue un proceso y tuve que llegar al punto de sentirme completamente sola antes de poder darme cuenta de que no lo estaba. No te engañes pensando que si tienes un grupo de amigos, no te sentirás solo. Todos nos sentimos solos a veces, pero las Escrituras nos recuerdan que nunca estamos solos.
Incluso si somos rechazados por todas las personas del planeta, Dios todavía nos ama y nos conoce. Y, por lo general, Él es fiel al traernos buenos amigos que también nos hacen sentir menos solos.

Señor, gracias porque me conoces completamente. Cuando me sienta solo, déjame correr hacia Ti. Déjame recordar que nunca estoy realmente solo porque Tú siempre estás conmigo. Y, por favor, dame personas que también quieran conocerme profundamente, así como yo busco conocer profundamente a los demás. Gracias porque no me creaste para estar solo. Amén
Loneliness
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.” Psalm 139:1
Even when we are surrounded by people, we can still feel alone. This was especially true for me when I started my first year of college at a school with 60,000 people It should have been easy for me to find friends with so many people around, and yet I felt utterly alone.
I felt like an anonymous passerby on campus; I didn’t know anyone, and no one knew me. I had never felt so insignificant and small. It wasn’t until I began to under- stand that God knew me deeply and was always with me that I started to feel less alone.
And then He brought me to others who got to know me as well. But it was a process, and I had to get to the place of feeling com- pletely alone before I could realize that I wasn’t. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that if you have a bunch of friends, you won’t feel lonely. We all feel lonely at times, but the Scriptures remind us we ar never alone.
Even if we are rejected by every single person on the planet, we are still loved and known by God. And usually, He is faithful to bring us some good friends who make us feel less alone too.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that you know me completely. When I feel alone, let me run to You. Let me remember that I am never truly alone because You are always with me. And please give me people who want to know me deeply as well, even as I seek to know others deeply. Thank you that you didn’t create me to be alone. Amen
