Vivimos en una generación donde no nos gusta renunciar a lo que nos gusta o lo que está cerca de “nuestros corazones”. Tememos que renunciar a lo que Dios nos ha pedido, porque no sabemos cómo actuar sin él. A veces olvidamos que el que nos pide que sacrifiquemos una pequeña cosa, sacrificó su vida por nosotros. Nos asustamos de sacrificarnos porque sentimos que Dios nos está pidiendo “demasiado”, pero necesitamos entender que hace todo lo bueno por nuestro propio bien. Por el momento, tal vez no comprendamos por qué nos está pidiendo que sacrifiquemos esa relación, adicción o distracción, pero en el futuro nos revelará Su propósito si esa es Su voluntad. ¿Qué te está alejando? ¿Qué te distrae? ¿Qué te impide buscar Su rostro?
Salmo 51: 16-17
“Usted no quiere una ofrenda quemada. El sacrificio que deseas es un espíritu roto. No rechazarás un corazón roto y arrepentido, oh Dios”
No está pidiendo toda una ceremonia de sacrificio. El Padre está pidiendo un corazón que esté dispuesto a sacrificar cualquier cosa que te esté alejando de él para morar en su presencia. Sacrificar no es fácil, no se supone que lo sea, pero el Padre tiene todo bajo control, especialmente para aquellos que lo aman de todo corazón. Se merece toda nuestra atención y todo nuestro corazón.
Oración:
Padre, te pido que me des la fuerza para sacrificar lo que me has pedido. Libérame de lo que me distrae. De lo que me aleja de sacrificar, lo que no me permite oír tu voz. Señor lo que quieras te lo entrego todo, puedes tenerlo todo. Pido que pueda seguir reconociendo tu amor por mí. Que siga buscando tu presencia y adoración en espíritu y en verdad por el resto de mis días. En el nombre de Jesús, Amén.
Sacrifices
We live in generation where we don’t like giving up what we like or what is close to “our hearts”. We fear giving up what God has asked of us, because we don’t know how to act without it. At times we forget that the one that is asking us to sacrifice a small thing, sacrificed his life for us. We get scared to sacrifice because it feels like God is asking us for “too much”, but we need to understand that He does all good thing for our own good. At the moment we might not understand why he is asking us to sacrifice that relationship, addiction, or distraction but in the future He will reveal His purpose to us if that is His will. What is pulling you away? What is distracting you? What is blocking you from seeking His face?
Psalm 51: 16-17
“You do not want a burnt offering. The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God”
He isn’t asking for a whole sacrificial ceremony. The Father is asking for a heart that is willing to sacrifice anything that is pulling you away from him to dwell in his presence. Sacrificing isn’t easy, it’s not supposed to be, but the Father has everything under control, especially for those who love him wholeheartedly. He deserves our full attention and all of our heart.
Prayer:
Father I ask that you give me the strength to sacrifice what you’ve asked of me. Set me free from what is distracting me, from what is pulling me away from sacrificing what is not allowing me to hear your voice. Lord whatever you want I surrender it all to you, you can have it all. I ask that I continue to recognize your love for me. That I continue to seek your presence and worship in spirit and in truth for the rest of my days. In Jesus name, Amen.
