Dios nos ha dado el poder de la resurrección para superar cualquier derrota aparente; pero es muy fácil olvidarlo, ¿verdad? Después de todo, los discípulos presenciaron la resurrección de Lázaro poco antes de que Jesús fuera crucificado y, aun así, se desmoronaron cuando lo vieron en la cruz. Sin embargo, imagina cuánto más fáciles habrían sido los tres días entre la crucifixión y la resurrección si en lugar de preguntarse: ¿Qué vamos a hacer ahora?, simplemente se hubieran preguntado: «¿Qué quiere Dios que aprendamos con esto?». Tal vez, habrían recordado las palabras de Jesús cuando Lázaro salió de la tumba: «Yo soy la resurrección y la vida [. . .] si crees, verás la gloria de Dios» (Juan 11:25, 40). O quizás habrían recordado cuando les dijo que resucitaría al tercer día (Mateo 16:21).
Hay mucho que aprender y mucho consuelo que recibir cuando confías en Dios, obedeces sus instrucciones y esperas a que Él obre, en especial cuando las cosas están en su peor momento. Mantén tu corazón abierto y dispuesto a aprender cada vez que enfrentes decepciones y enfócate firmemente en Jesús. Porque en su economía, la resurrección sigue a la crucifixión.

Jesús, ayúdame a recordar siempre que tú puedes sacar algo bueno de cada situación. Amén.
Remember What He Can Do
“Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead.”
MATTHEW 28:7
God has given us resurrection power to overcome any seeming defeat. But that’s so easy to forget, isn’t it? After all, the disciples had witnessed the resurrection of Lazarus shortly before Jesus was crucified, and they still fell apart when they saw Him on the cross. However, imagine how much easier the three days between the crucifixion and resurrection would have been if instead of wondering, What are we going to do now? they had simply asked each other, “What does God want us to learn through this?” Perhaps they would have remembered Jesus’ words when Lazarus came out of the tomb: “I am the resurrection and the life . . . If you believe, you will see the glory of God” (John 11:25, 40). Or maybe they would have recalled when He told them that He would be raised on the third day (Matthew 16:21).
There are so many things you’ll learn and so much comfort you’ll receive if you’ll just trust God, obey His instruction, and wait for Him to work—especially when things are at their worst. Keep your heart open and teachable whenever you face disappointments, and fix your focus steadfastly on Jesus. Because in His economy, resurrection follows crucifixion.
