Galatas 5:18
Pero si sois guiados por el Espíritu, no estáis bajo la ley.
La Biblia es clara cuando habla a cerca del yugo de la ley, es un dominio superior al que estábamos sujetos y obligados a obedecer.
Algunas de las razones por la que Jesús, nos envió al Espíritu Santo, fue para darnos poder, para guiarnos y sobretodo para que por medio del Espíritu podamos ser libres de todo yugo, ley, muerte o condenación:
Romanos 8:2
Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús me ha librado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.
Caminar en el Espíritu es vivir en libertad, sin ser deudores de nada, porque Jesús ya pagó todas nuestras deudas físicas y espirituales en la cruz… así que ya no es una obligación obedecer la ley, sino obedecer en todo al Espíritu Santo por amor a Jesús.
Cuando obedecemos al Espíritu Santo, podemos decir que tenemos parte en el Reino de Dios, y somos llamados por nombres propios:
Romanos 8:14
Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, estos son hijos de Dios.
Así mismo tenemos la certeza y confianza en nuestro espíritu de que verdaderamente estamos haciendo lo que a Dios le agrada por medio de la guía de su Espíritu:
Romanos 8:16
El Espíritu mismo da testimonio a nuestro espíritu, de que somos hijos de Dios.
Si verdaderamente somos hijos de Dios seremos guiados por el Espíritu, para ser herederos de las riquezas de Dios, y coherederos juntamente con Jesús.
Oración:
Amado Dios, gracias por permitirnos ser guiados por tu Espíritu Santo, porque es a través de Él que podemos recibir nuevas fuerzas cada día, y por medio de Él ser direccionados a toda verdad mediante tu palabra que es viva y eficaz, en el nombre de Jesús, amén.
What is walking in the Spirit?
Galatians 5:18
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
The Bible is clear when it talks about the yoke of the law, it is a superior domain to which we were subject and obliged to obey.
Some of the reasons why Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit was to give us power, to guide us and above all so that through the Spirit we can be free from all yoke, law, death or condemnation:
Romans 8: 2
Because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death.
To walk in the Spirit is to live in freedom, without being in debt to anything, because Jesus has already paid all our physical and spiritual debts on the cross … so it is no longer an obligation to obey the law, but to obey the Holy Spirit in everything for the love of Jesus.
When we obey the Holy Spirit, we can say that we have a part in the Kingdom of God, and we are called by proper names:
Romans 8:14
Because all who are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.
Likewise, we have the certainty and confidence in our spirit that we are truly doing what pleases God through the guidance of his Spirit:
Romans 8:16
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
If we are truly children of God, we will be led by the Spirit, to be heirs of God’s riches, and joint heirs with Jesus.
Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for allowing us to be guided by your Holy Spirit, because it is through Him that we can receive new strength every day, and through Him, He will be direct us to all truth through your word that is living and effective, in the name of Jesus, amen.
