Después que los israelitas fueron liberados de su esclavitud en Egipto y experimentaron un milagroso escape a través del mar Rojo, comenzaron a enfrentar retos como la necesidad de agua. Podríamos preguntarnos por qué permitiría Dios esa carencia en una necesidad diaria tan básica después de darles tan asombrosa liberación. Sin embargo, Dios le reveló a Moisés la razón para esto: probar la fe del pueblo.
Sin embargo, poco después el Señor llevó a los israelitas a Elim, donde había doce manantiales de agua y setenta palmeras.
Por supuesto, los números doce y setenta eran significativos: Israel se componía de doce tribus y tenía setenta ancianos. Cada tribu contó con su propio manantial y cada anciano con su propia fuente de alimento. Por tanto, Elim no era solo un lugar de abundante provisión, sino también de importancia providencial. Dios estaba mostrándoles que los cuidaría a la perfección.
Esto también ocurre con usted, especialmente cuando enfrenta sus propias necesidades. La mano del Señor no es demasiado corta para proveerle ni lo ha olvidado, pero desea que confíe en Él en lo que aún desconoce. Así que aproveche cualquier carencia que pueda enfrentar como una oportunidad para que Dios le revele su perfecta provisión.

Jesús, te confiaré mis necesidades y todo lo desconocido, aunque no pueda ver una salida por delante. Amén
TESTS AND PROVISIONS
There He tested them. EXODUS 15:25
After the people of Israel were freed from their bondage in Egypt and had their miraculous escape through the Red Sea, they began encountering challenges such as the need for water. One might wonder why God would allow a lack in such a basic daily need after giving them such an amazing deliverance. Yet God revealed the reason for this to Moses—He was testing the people’s faith.
Soon after, however, God led Israel to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy date palms. Of course, the numbers twelve and seventy were meaningful—with Israel being composed of twelve tribes and having seventy elders. Each tribe had its own spring and each elder his own source of food. Therefore, Elim was a place of not only abundant provision but also providential significance. God was showing Israel that He would care for them perfectly.
This is true for you as well—especially as you encounter your own needs. The Lord’s hand is not too short to provide for you, and He has not forgotten about you, but He wants you to trust Him in the unknowns. So take whatever lack you may face as an opportunity for God to reveal His perfect provision.
Prayer:
Jesus, I will trust You with my needs and all the unknowns even when I cannot see a way through. Amen.
