¿De dónde vienen las guerras y los pleitos entre vosotros? ¿No es de vuestras pasiones, las cuales combaten en vuestros miembros? Codiciáis, y no tenéis; matáis y ardéis de envidia, y no podéis alcanzar; combatís y lucháis, pero no tenéis lo que deseáis, porque no pedís. Pedís, y no recibís, porque pedís mal, para gastar en vuestros deleites.
Porque Dios es espíritu y con nuestros ojos naturales no lo podemos ver, se establece que una conversación con Dios que es Espíritu, la llamemos oración.
El comunicarse con Dios en voz alta ya sea para agradecerle, adorarle o pedirle.
Podríamos tomar por ejemplo una relación de una pareja en matrimonio, como tienen una cercanía continua con abrazos y besos, es normal que el uno sienta el olor de la piel del otro, ya sea por el perfume que usa.
Igual nosotros con Dios si nos mantenemos en comunicación con Él, sumergiéndonos en su presencia, nuestro corazón se impregnará de lo que hay en su corazón y anhelaremos los frutos del Espíritu, no los frutos de la carne.
Nuestra alma y nuestro cuerpo, a causa de nuestra naturaleza pecaminosa, siempre va a querer inclinarse a las cosas que las satisfacen, y no a lo que necesita nuestro espíritu.
No tiene nada de malo que anheles y le pidas a Dios un mejor trabajo, o un carro o una casa, o cualquier otra cosa material.
Dios quiere que tengamos todas estas cosas que realmente necesitamos, Él sabe que necesitas un esposo/a, que deseas tener hijos.
El así nos creó, hombre y mujer para que se hicieran compañía y tuvieran descendencia.
El punto clave es, lo que tú le pides a Dios que objetivo principal tiene, analiza que es lo que le has estado pidiendo a Dios, le pediste una esposa/o, y ahora que la tienes estas cumpliendo a cabalidad como esposo/a, lo que debes hacer para hacerle feliz a tu compañera/o de vida, o cuando la pediste a Dios, tu petición estaba basada en que tú querías un esposo/a para que te hiciera feliz, no tu a el/ella.
De ahora en adelante analiza lo que le estás pidiendo a Dios, cuál es el propósito de tu petición.
En oración, en la presencia de Dios y por Su Palabra se revelará lo que hay en tu corazón y ya esas peticiones egoístas cambiarán para que sean basadas en lo que está en el corazón de Dios.
Preguntas para concluir:
▪︎¿Has analizado y caíste en cuenta que lo que has estado pidiendo, era solo para tu único y exclusivo beneficio, no para bendición de los que te rodean?
▪︎¿O lo que has estado pidiendo es de bendición para otros y para el Reino de Dios?
▪︎No desfallezcas continúa pidiéndolo y llegará el rompimiento y tus ojos lo verán.
Oración:
¡Mi Señor! Tu siendo Nuestro Sumo Sacerdote nos dejaste tu ejemplo de cómo orar y llegar al Padre; has puesto en nosotros la necesidad de conectarnos al cielo y dice tu palabra que orar como conviene no sabemos pero tu Santo Espíritu intercede por nosotros para pedir conforme a tu voluntad y no pedir conforme a los deseos egoístas de la carne. Te pedimos que nos des sabiduría, revelación y denuedo en la oración para orar conforme a tu corazón, en el nombre de Jesús, Amen!
Why should we pray?
James 4:1-3
Where do wars and lawsuits between you come from? Is it not of your passions, which fight in your limbs? You lust and have not; you kill and burn with envy, and cannot achieve; you fight and fight, but you don’t have what you want, because you don’t ask. You ask, and you do not receive, because you ask badly, to spend on your delights.
Because God is spirit and with our natural eyes we cannot see him, it is established that a conversation with God who is Spirit, we call it prayer.
Communicating with God out loud either to thank him, worship him or ask him.
We could take for example a relationship of a married couple, as they have a continuous closeness with hugs and kisses, it is normal for one to feel the smell of the other’s skin, because of the perfume they use.
Like us with God if we keep in communication with Him, immersing ourselves in His presence, our heart will be impregnated with what is in His heart and we will long for the fruits of the Spirit, not the fruits of the flesh.
Our soul and body, because of our sinful nature, will always want to lean toward the things that satisfy them, and not toward what our spirit needs.
There is nothing wrong with you longing for and asking God for a better job, or a car or a house, or any other material thing.
God wants us to have all these things that we really need, He knows that you need a spouse, that you want to have children.
He created us that way, man and woman to keep each other company and have offspring.
The key point is, what you ask God what main objective has, analyze what you have been asking God, you asked for a wife/husband, and now that you have it you are fully fulfilling as a husband/wife, what you must do to make your life partner happy, or when you asked God, your request was based on the fact that you wanted a spouse to make you happy, not you him/her.
From now on analyze what you are asking God, what is the purpose of your request.
In prayer, in the presence of God and by His Word what is in your heart will be revealed and already those selfish requests will change to be based on what is in the heart of God.
Questions to conclude:
▪︎Have you analyzed and realized that what you have been asking for was only for your sole and exclusive benefit, not for the blessing of those around you?
▪︎Or is what you have been asking for a blessing for others and for the Kingdom of God?
▪︎Do not lose heart, keep asking for it and the break will come and your eyes will see it.
Prayer:
My Lord! You being Our High Priest, You left us Your example of how to pray and reach the Father; You have placed in us the need to connect to heaven and Your word says that to pray as appropriate we do not know but Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us to ask according to Your will and not to ask according to the selfish desires of the flesh. We ask You to give us wisdom, revelation and boldness in prayer to pray according to Your heart, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
