Bien, Jesús pagó la pena por los pecados de todos al morir en la cruz. ¿Pero por qué? Fue un acto de amor, por eso. Pero ¿por qué Dios y Jesús nos aman tanto? Porque…
▪︎Dios ES amor. (1 Juan 4:8 y 1 Juan 4:16)
▪︎Todos somos creados por Dios y hechos a su imagen, lo que significa que todos tenemos una parte del espíritu de Dios en nosotros. (Génesis 1:26-27) Y como Dios es amor, le sería imposible no amarse a sí mismo ni a cualquier cosa que sea parte de Él.
¡Eso es enorme! Es más de lo que podemos entender por completo. Pero eso está bien. No tenemos que entenderlo todo. Simplemente lo creemos. Eso no es ser crédulo ni ingenuo. Lo hacemos todo el tiempo con cosas mucho menos críticas. Por ejemplo, ¿conoces cada paso que debe dar el motor de combustión de tu coche para funcionar? ¿Hasta ahora sabías siquiera que era un motor de combustión? ¿O conoce las rutas que toman el cableado y la plomería en su casa para brindarle Internet de alta velocidad y una ducha caliente? Sin embargo, todavía confías en que estas cosas funcionen cuando quieras usarlas.
Entonces, ¿por qué no puede ser… por qué no es lo mismo cuando se trata de confiar y creer que Dios y Jesús te aman lo suficiente como para querer estar contigo siempre y para siempre, pase lo que pase? Incluso si no lo entiendes todo (cosa que ninguno de nosotros entiende), aún puedes creerlo, aceptarlo y cosechar las bendiciones que provienen de ello. De eso es la fe y de eso se trata.
La fe es la razón por la que crees y por la que oras. La fe es la razón por la que lees y obedeces la Biblia. La fe es la razón por la que eliges a Dios. La fe es la razón por la que no tienes que andar perdido.
Verificación de la realidad
¿Cuántas cosas haces en ‘piloto automático’ a lo largo del día o de la semana? No tienes ningún problema en poner tu confianza y fe en ellos, así que ¿por qué no hacer lo mismo con el creador y hacedor de todo?
Espejo Espejo…
¿Hay algún aspecto en tu vida que bloquea tu visión y te impide poner tu fe completa en Dios? ¿Es incredulidad? ¿Tienes miedo de que se burlen de ti? ¿Sientes culpa y vergüenza en tu vida? ¿Ha sido lastimado por alguien en quien debería haber podido confiar, lo que le dificulta confiar en alguien? Dios es más grande que cualquiera de estas cosas. Él puede resolverlos y redondearlos a todos para mostrarte cuán real es Su amor. Renuncia al control sobre cualquier cosa que bloquee tu camino y abre los ojos y el corazón para poder ver.
Orar
Esta es una oración a Dios para que te ayude a nunca dudar de Su amor por ti. Dios, la Biblia me dice que tu amor no falla. Dice que eres fiel y nunca me darás la espalda. Ayúdame a liberar cualquier miedo que tenga y que me impida aceptar plenamente tu amor. Parece imposible, pero cuando me detengo y pienso en la forma en que ya has trabajado en mi vida, sé que todo es posible a través de ti. Pero necesito que me ayudes a mantener la concentración, a no dudar ni a olvidar. En el nombre de Jesús, amén.
Peace with God through faith

Okay, Jesus paid the penalty for everyone’s sins by dying on the cross. But why? It was an act of love, that’s why. But why do God and Jesus love us that much? Because…
▪︎God IS love. (1st John 4:8 and 1st John 4:16)
▪︎We are all created by God and made in his image, which means we all have a piece of God’s spirit in us. (Genesis 1:26-27) And since God is love, it would be impossible for him not to love himself or anything that is part of Him.
That’s huge! It’s more than we can fully wrap our heads around. But that’s okay. We don’t have to understand it all. We just believe it. That’s not being gullible or naïve. We do it all the time with things a lot less critical. For example, do you know every step it takes for the combustion engine of your car to operate? Until now, did you even know it was a combustion engine? Or do you know the routes the wiring and plumbing take in your house to give you high-speed internet and a hot shower? Yet you still trust these things to work whenever you want to use them.
So why can’t it be…why isn’t it the same when it comes to trusting and believing that God and Jesus love you enough to want to be with you always and forever, no matter what? Even if you don’t understand it all (which none of us do), you can still believe it, accept it, and reap the blessings that come from it. That’s what faith is and what this is all about.
Faith is why you believe and why you pray. Faith is why you read and obey the Bible. Faith is why you choose God. Faith is why you don’t have to wander around lost.
Reality Check
How many things do you do on’ autopilot’ throughout the day or week? You have no problem putting your trust and faith in them, so why not do the same with the creator and maker of all?
Mirror, Mirror…
Is an aspect in your life blocking your vision from putting your complete faith in God? Is it disbelief? Are you afraid of being made fun of? Do you feel guilt and shame in your life? Have you been hurt by someone you should have been able to trust, making it hard for you to trust anyone? God is grander than any of these things. He can work through and round them all to show you how real His love is. Relinquish control over anything blocking your way and open your eyes and heart so you can see.
Pray
This is a prayer to God to help you never doubt His love for you.
God, the Bible tells me that your love doesn’t fail. It says you are faithful and will never turn your back on me. Help me to release any fear I have that is blocking me from fully accepting your love. It seems impossible, but when I stop and think about the way you have already worked in my life, I know anything is possible through you. But I need you to help me stay focused—not to doubt and not forget. In Jesus’ name, amen.
