En nuestra sociedad hoy, encontramos muy pocas personas que son capaces de dar gratuitamente. Tal vez la escritura anterior arroja luz sobre el porqué. Si nunca aprendemos a recibir gratuitamente de Jesús, nunca aprenderemos a dar gratuitamente a los demás.
El diablo trata de engañarnos para que creamos que debemos ganar o pagar por todo. De alguna manera estamos convencidos de que debemos luchar y esforzarnos para conseguir lo que queremos de Dios. Sin embargo, Jesús dijo: “Vengan a mí todos ustedes que están cansados y agobiados, y yo les daré descanso” (Mateo 11:28).
“Vengan a mí” es una invitación reconfortante. No está llena de sonidos de lucha y esfuerzo. Reciba misericordia y podrá ser misericordioso y recibir el amor de Dios, y entonces podrá amar a los demás.
Pensamiento del día
Pase tiempo regularmente en la presencia de Dios y reciba su perdón, amor y misericordia.

In Order to Give, You Must Receive
Freely you have received, freely give.
(Matthew 10:8)
In our society today, we find very few people who are able to freely give. Perhaps the above scripture sheds light as to why. If we never learn to freely receive from Jesus, we will never learn to freely give to others.
The devil tries to deceive us into believing that we must earn or pay for everything. We have somehow been convinced that we must struggle and strive to get what we want from God. Yet, Jesus said,
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]” (Matthew 11:28).
“Come to Me” is a comforting invitation. It is not filled with sounds of struggle and effort. Receive mercy and you can be merciful and receive God’s love, and then you can love others.

Regularly sit in God’s presence and receive His forgiveness, love, and mercy.
