Éxodo 19:4-8
“Ustedes vieron lo que hice con los egipcios. Saben cómo los llevé a ustedes sobre alas de águila y los traje hacia mí. Ahora bien, si me obedecen y cumplen mi pacto, ustedes serán mi tesoro especial entre todas las naciones de la tierra; porque toda la tierra me pertenece. Ustedes serán mi reino de sacerdotes, mi nación santa”. Este es el mensaje que debes transmitir a los hijos de Israel». Entonces Moisés regresó del monte y llamó a los ancianos del pueblo y les comunicó todo lo que el Señor le había ordenado. Y todo el pueblo respondió a una voz: Haremos todo lo que el Señor ha ordenado.
Al leer estos versos, se me es curioso que la frase “sacerdotes, nación santa”, nos lleva a:
1 Pedro 2:9.
“(…) Son sacerdotes del Rey, una nación santa, posesión exclusiva de Dios. Por eso pueden mostrar a otros la bondad de Dios, pues él los ha llamado a salir de la oscuridad y entrar en su luz maravillosa”.
Dios habló estas palabras al pueblo de Israel por Moisés alrededor de 1.447 años antes de Cristo pero vemos que a través de los años, el hombre no pudo obedecer a Dios; pero Dios nunca nos dejó de amar y nos ha dado una oportunidad única e inquebrantable a través de Jesús por eso vuelve y nos da la palabra en “1 Pedro”, pero ahora la podremos cumplir pero a través de Jesús.
No importa cuantas veces falles, Él siempre está ahí para levantarte, Él quiere que cumplas el propósito por el cual te creó y vuelve a repetir en Su hermosa palabra que somos sus sacerdotes, nación santa, escogida por Él.
Vemos con Moisés un claro ejemplo del amor de Dios; Moisés se deja llevar por la frustración y llegó hasta el enojo, pegándole a la roca, haciendo algo que Dios no lo había dicho que hiciera.
Y por este motivo no pudo entrar a la tierra prometida; debido que en este tiempo no estaban bajo el pacto de la gracia y Dios operó con la mano de la justicia, pero el amor de Dios no tiene limites y muchos años después en el Monte de la Transfiguración a través de Jesús, Dios le da la oportunidad a Moisés de estar en la tierra prometida junto a Jesús.
No crees que es increible como Dios planeó un momento en el tiempo para que Moisés pudiera tener la oportunidad de estar en la tierra prometida y nada menos que junto a Jesús, Su hijo y Elias el profeta.
¡Créelo!, Dios te da otra oportunidad y si estas dispuesto a creerle, Él planeará un tiempo indicado en que tú te quedarás asombrado porque todo sucederá en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, y te preguntarás ¿como sucedió todo esto?.
Recuerda es a través de Jesús que tienes otra oportunidad, para levantar, seguir caminando y creyendo que las promesas de Dios se cumplirán en ti, y en tu casa y en tu familia.
Oración:
Amado Padre Celestial, gracias porque eres un Dios de nuevas misericordias, de nuevas oportunidades cada día, en el nuevo pacto has establecido la gracia para que a través de ella podamos llegar confiadamente delante de tu trono, sin importar nuestros errores, o nuestros pecados, porque tu sangre nos limpia de toda maldad, en el nombre de Jesús, Amén.
Another chance!
Exodus 19: 4-8
“You saw what I did with the Egyptians. You know how I carried you on the wings of an eagle and brought you to me. Now, if you obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my special treasure among all the nations of the earth; because all the land belongs to me. You will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation ”. This is the message that you must convey to the children of Israel. So Moses returned from the mountain and called the elders of the people and told them all that the Lord had commanded him. And all the people answered with one voice: We will do all that the Lord has commanded.
When reading these verses, it is curious to me that the phrase “priests, holy nation” leads us to:
1 Peter 2: 9.
“(…) They are priests of the King, a holy nation, God’s exclusive possession. That is why they can show others the goodness of God, for he has called them out of the darkness and into his wonderful light.”
God spoke these words to the people of Israel through Moses around 1,447 years before Christ but we see that throughout the years, man could not obey God; But God never stopped loving us and has given us a unique and unshakable opportunity through Jesus, that is why he returns and gives us the word in “1 Peter”, but now we can fulfill it but through Jesus.
No matter how many times you fail, He is always there to lift you up, He wants you to fulfill the purpose for which he created you and repeats again in his beautiful word that we are his priests, a holy nation, chosen by him.
We see with Moses a clear example of God’s love; Moses is carried away by frustration and became angry, hitting the rock, doing something that God had not told him to do.
And for this reason he could not enter the promised land; because at this time they were not under the covenant of grace and God operated with the hand of justice, but God’s love has no limits and many years later on the Mount of Transfiguration through Jesus, God gives him the opportunity for Moses to be in the promised land with Jesus.
You do not think it is incredible how God planned a moment in time so that Moses could have the opportunity to be in the promised land and nothing less than with Jesus, his son and Elijah the prophet.
Believe it! God gives you another chance and if you are willing to believe Him, He will plan an indicated time when you will be amazed because everything will happen in the blink of an eye, and you will wonder how did all this happen?
Remember it is through Jesus that you have another opportunity, to get up, keep walking and believing that the promises of God will be fulfilled in you, and in your home and in your family.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that you are a God of new mercies, of new opportunities every day, in the new covenant you have established grace so that through it we can confidently arrive before your throne, regardless of our mistakes, or our sins, because your blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness, in Jesus name, Amen.
