Los gobernantes, al ver la osadía con que hablaban Pedro y Juan, y al darse cuenta de que eran gente sin estudios ni preparación, quedaron asombrados y reconocieron que habían estado con Jesús. HECHOS 4:13 (NVI)
¿Recuerdas al tullido que se sentaba cada día a la puerta del templo para pedir limosna? Pedro y Juan pasaron por ahí pero no le dieron dinero, sino que lo sanaron en el poderoso nombre de Jesús. Y esto no pasó desapercibido para los líderes religiosos. Convocaron a los dos apóstoles para que aparecieran ante el concilio, donde se enfrentaron a un intimidante grupo de hombres que tenían la autoridad para meterlos en prisión. Sin miedo, Pedro salió al estrado y aprovechó para lanzar una potente acusación en contra de ellos. Ellos habían sido quienes habían crucificado a Jesús, cuyo poder había sanado al leproso. El concilio estaba asombrado ante la valentía de dos hombres simples y sin estudios. ¿De dónde nacía tanta valentía? ¡Pues de haber estado con Jesús!
¿Hay alguna situación a la que te estés enfrentando para la que necesitas más valentía de la que puedes reunir? ¿Es posible que no hayas estado demasiado con Jesús últimamente? No necesitas una formación o un don especiales para mostrar una osadía inusual en una situación aterradora: tienes a Jesús. Él te dará exactamente lo que necesitas.

Amado Señor, hoy necesito una gran dosis de valentía. Te pido que me llenes de osadía con el poder de tu Espíritu Santo.
Unusual Courage
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. ACTS 4:13 NIV
Remember the cripple who sat daily at the temple gate to beg? Peter and John came by, but they didn’t give him any money. They healed him by the powerful name of Jesus. This did not go unnoticed by the religious leaders. The two apostles were called before the council where they faced an intimidating group of men who had the authority to throw them in jail. Fearlessly, Peter took the floor and leveled a powerful indictment against them. They had crucified Jesus, whose power had healed the leper. The council was appalled by the boldness of two ordinary, unschooled men. The explanation for their courage? They had been with Jesus!
Is there a situation you are facing that calls for greater courage than you can muster? Well, have you been with Jesus lately? You don’t have to be particularly gifted or educated to show unusual courage in a scary situation. You have Jesus. He will give you exactly what you need.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, I need a large dose of courage today. I pray that you would fill me with boldness by the power of your Holy Spirit.
