¿Tengo la esperanza de Jesús en mi corazón?
Como adolescente, quieres confirmación de las cosas ahora mismo, ya sea mediante una llamada telefónica, un mensaje instantáneo o un mensaje de texto. Es posible que desees que los planes con amigos se confirmen de inmediato. Mientras que algunas chicas quieren que las cosas se planifiquen en detalle, a algunas adolescentes no les importa hacer las cosas de forma espontánea. A menudo esperas con impaciencia a que tus amigos te llamen o te envíen un mensaje de texto. Te emociona salir con tus amigos cada vez que puedes. ¿Sabías que puedes sentir el mismo entusiasmo por esperar el Cielo? Te acostumbras tanto a esperar con impaciencia que podrías preguntarte: “¿Cómo puedo esperar pacientemente por las cosas que no tengo? ¿Cómo espero pacientemente a Dios y espero pacientemente el Cielo?
Puedes esperar pacientemente el Cielo declarando las buenas nuevas de Jesús sobre tu vida. Si te entrenas para esperar pacientemente las cosas que no tienes, las agradecerás mucho más cuando las recibas. Como cristiano, tienes la esperanza de Jesús en tu corazón, incluso si todavía no puedes verlo en persona. Lo verás cuando llegues al Cielo.
Si tienes dificultades para esperar pacientemente, di esta oración: “Señor, por favor ayúdame a aferrarme a tu esperanza en mi vida”.
Praying for Patience
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”
Romans 8:25
Do I have the hope of Jesus in my heart? As a teenager, you want confirmation of things right now, whether through a phone call, instant message, or a text. You might wish to plans with friends to be confirmed immediately. While some girls want things to be planned out in detail, some teenage girls don’t mind doing things spontaneously. You often wait impatiently for your friends to call or text you back. You get excited about hanging out with your friends every chance you get. Did you know that you can have that same excitement about waiting for Heaven? You get so used to waiting impatiently, you might be asking, “How do I wait patiently for the things that I don’t have? How do I wait patiently for God and wait patiently for Heaven?”
You can wait patiently for Heaven by declaring the good news of Jesus over your life. If you train yourself to wait patiently for the things you don’t have, you will be much more appreciative when you receive them. As a Christian, you have the hope of Jesus in your heart, even if you can’t yet see Him in person. You will see Him when you get to Heaven.
If you’re struggling with waiting patiently, say this prayer: “Lord, please help me hold on to your hope in my life.”
