Génesis 22:1-2 (NTV)
Tiempo después, Dios probó la fe de Abraham. —¡Abraham! —lo llamó Dios. —Sí —respondió él—, aquí estoy. —Toma a tu hijo, tu único hijo —sí, a Isaac, a quien tanto amas— y vete a la tierra de Moriah. Allí lo sacrificarás como ofrenda quemada sobre uno de los montes, uno que yo te mostraré.
Este relato de Génesis 22 podría ser uno de los que ninguno de nosotros quisiéramos vivir, ¿A quien le gustaría vivir esta experiencia? Yo diría que ninguno de nosotros quisiéramos sacrificar a uno de nuestros hijos…
La realidad es que Abraham no en vano fue llamado el Padre de la fe, su fe estaba basada en su plena confianza en Dios, él sabía que Dios era bueno y era Dios Todopoderoso y desde el principio Abraham sin dudarlo obedeció siempre a Dios.
Dios le prometió que lo bendeciría y que a través de él serían bendecidos muchos; Abraham le obedece a Dios dejando su tierra y su parentela, a partir de este paso de fe que dio, Dios nunca le falló, cada promesa que Dios le habia dado, la había cumplido, él había podido vivir las bendiciones de Dios y las personas que lo rodeaban tambien, su hijo Isaac era una prueba del cumplimiento de las promesas.
Él sabía que Dios era Dios de los imposibles y que lo que Dios le dijera o le pidiera iba a ser para bien por eso no le reprochó a Dios cuando le pide que sacrifique a su hijo, él entendía que aunque le doliera debía obedecer a Dios y tenia la seguridad que la voluntad de Dios es buena, agradable y perfecta.
Abraham no le importó su dolor, confió en Dios y vio una vez más la manifestación del amor de Él en su vida.
El dolor también proporciona una oportunidad de experimentar la gracia de Dios; así tu dolor sea espiritual, mental, emocional o físico, el Señor anhela que confíes en Él, obedecelo aunque no entiendas porque Dios te lo está ordenando y aunque te duela, por Su Gracia, su poder se perfecciona a través de tu debilidad. (2 Corintios 12:9). Con Jesús vas a poder sobrepasar ese dolor y ver la victoria que Él ganó en la cruz por ti y por mí.
¡Refugiate en sus promesas, Él las cumplirá!
Apocalipsis 21:4
Él les secará toda lágrima de los ojos, y no habrá más muerte ni tristeza ni llanto ni dolor. Todas esas cosas ya no existirán más»
Oración:
Amado Dios, ayúdanos a obedecer tu palabra y a caminar en fe sobre cada promesa, que el dolor o las circunstancias que podamos estar viviendo no sea un impedimento para poder recibir nuestra bendición, en el nombre de Jesús, amén.
Obey even if it hurts
Genesis 22: 1-2 (NLT)
Later, God tested Abraham’s faith. -Abraham! God called him. “Yes,” he replied, “here I am.” “Take your son, your only son — yes, Isaac, whom you love so much — and go to the land of Moriah.” There you will sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, one that I will show you.
This story from Genesis 22 could be one that none of us want to live, who would like to live this experience? I would say that none of us would want to sacrifice one of our children …
The reality is that Abraham was not in vain called the Father of faith, his faith was based on his full trust in God, he knew that God was good and was God Almighty and from the beginning Abraham without hesitation always obeyed God .
God promised him that he would bless him and that through him many would be blessed; Abraham obeys God by leaving his land and his relatives, from this step of faith that he took, God never failed him, every promise that God had given him, he had fulfilled, he had been able to live the blessings of God and people that also surrounded him, his son Isaac was proof of the fulfillment of the promises.
He knew that God was the God of the impossible and that what God told him or asked him would be for the good, that is why he did not reproach God when he asked him to sacrifice his son, he understood that even if it hurt him, he had to obey God and I was sure that the will of God is good, agreeable and perfect.
Abraham did not care about his pain, he trusted God and saw once again the manifestation of His love in his life.
Pain also provides an opportunity to experience God’s grace; Whether your pain is spiritual, mental, emotional or physical, the Lord longs for you to trust Him, obey Him even if you don’t understand why God is commanding you and even if it hurts, by His Grace, His power is perfected through Your weakness. (2 Corinthians 12: 9). With Jesus you will be able to overcome that pain and see the victory that He won on the cross for you and for me.
Take refuge in his promises, He will fulfill them!
Revelation 21: 4
He will wipe away every tear from your eyes, and there will be no more death or sadness or crying or pain. All those things will no longer exist »
Prayer:
Dear God, help us to obey your word and to walk in faith on each promise, that the pain or the circumstances that we may be experiencing is not an impediment to receiving our blessing, in the name of Jesus, amen.
