1 Corintios 15: 54-57
Entonces, cuando nuestros cuerpos mortales hayan sido transformados en cuerpos que nunca morirán, se cumplirá la siguiente Escritura: «La muerte es devorada en victoria. Oh muerte, ¿dónde está tu victoria? Oh muerte, ¿dónde está tu aguijón? ». Pues el pecado es el aguijón que termina en muerte, y la ley le da al pecado su poder. ¡Pero gracias a Dios! Él nos da la victoria sobre el pecado y la muerte por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
Cuando Jesús murió por nuestros pecados y compró nuestro perdón, nos salvó de la separación eterna de Dios. Él sustituyó la desesperanza de la muerte con una esperanza viva en un futuro eterno en la presencia del Señor, y cuando Él se levantó de la tumba, Jesús demostró Su victoria máxima sobre la muerte, probando que el poder de Satanás no es nada comparado al de Él. En Apocalipsis 1:17-18, declaró: “Yo Soy... el que vive. Estuve muerto, pero vivo por los siglos de los siglos, amén. Y tengo las llaves de la muerte y del Hades”.
Mientras que la muerte es una realidad difícil para nosotros en esta vida, al experimentar el dolor de perder aquellos que son cercanos y eventualmente lidiar con nuestra propia mortalidad terrenal, ahora podemos estar anclados a la verdad de que Jesús tiene las llaves de la muerte, y ha abierto un camino al Padre. ¡Hay tanto por venir! Jesús prometió en Juan 11:25, “El que cree en mí, aunque esté muerto, vivirá”.
Como Jesús nos ha salvado de la permanencia de la muerte, no tenemos por qué vivir nuestras vidas en temor. Somos libres de vivir vidas audaces y abundantes, saber que no importa qué venga aquí en la tierra, viviremos por siempre en la presencia de Dios y en la comunión de Su familia. Aun cuando nos dolemos por los seres amados, nos dolemos con esperanza, sabiendo que si pusieron su fe en Jesús, nos reuniremos y experimentaremos la Gloria de Dios juntos.
Este domingo de Resurrección, que las implicaciones del triunfo de Jesús sobre la muerte se asienten en tu corazón y cambien tu perspectiva de la fragilidad de esta vida a nuestra seguridad eterna en el cielo. ¡La muerte no tiene aguijón de verdad! Celebra su victoria, llénate de gratitud y crece en tu convicción de que todos en la tierra necesitan tener la esperanza celestial que tú tienes. Eso es lo que había en Su corazón al morir por toda la humanidad: que ni uno solo de nosotros pasara la eternidad lejos de Él. No hay mejor manera de expresar tu gratitud por lo que Él ha hecho por ti que decirle al mundo de Su amor por Él. Así es como aprovechamos nuestra vida. Así que sal y vive al máximo. ¡Porque Él vive!
Oración:
¡Mi Señor Jesús! Nos has regalado Victoria por tu inmenso amor por nosotros a través del sacrificio en la Cruz, moriste pero también resucitaste, derrotando a todos tus enemigos, colocandolos bajo el estrado de tus pies y destruyendo el poder del pecado para que no se enseñoree de nosotros y regalandonos vida eterna para estar unidos a ti por siempre en la eternidad.
Gracias por esa gran Victoria mi Rey de Reyes. En el nombre de Jesús. ¡Amén!
Our Victory is in Jesus
1 Corinthians 15: 54-57
Then, when our mortal bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, the following Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. Oh death, where is your victory? Oh death, where is your sting? ». For sin is the thorn that ends in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
When Jesus died for our sins and bought our forgiveness, he saved us from eternal separation from God. He replaced the hopelessness of death with a living hope in an eternal future in the presence of the Lord, and when He rose from the grave, Jesus demonstrated His ultimate victory over death, proving that the power of Satan is nothing compared to His. In Revelation 1: 17-18, He declared: “I am … the one who lives. I was dead, but I live forever and ever, amen. And I have the keys of death and Hades.”
While death is a difficult reality for us in this life, as we experience the pain of losing those close to us and eventually dealing with our own earthly mortality, we can now be anchored to the truth that Jesus holds the keys of death, and has made a way to the Father. There is so much to come! Jesus promised in John 11:25, “He who believes in me, even though he is dead, he will live.”
Since Jesus has saved us from the permanence of death, we do not have to live our lives in fear. We are free to live bold and abundant lives, knowing that no matter what comes here on earth, we will live forever in the presence of God and in the fellowship of his family. Even as we grieve for loved ones, we grieve with hope, knowing that if they put their faith in Jesus, we will come together and experience the Glory of God together.
This Easter Sunday, may the implications of Jesus’ triumph over death settle in your heart and shift your perspective from the fragility of this life to our eternal security in heaven. Death has no real sting! Celebrate his victory, fill yourself with gratitude, and grow in your conviction that everyone on earth needs to have the heavenly hope that you have. That is what was in His heart as He died for all mankind: that not a single one of us would spend eternity away from Him. There is no better way to express your gratitude for what He has done for you than to tell the world of His love for Him. This is how we use our life. So get out there and live to the fullest. Because He lives!
Prayer:
My Lord Jesus! You have given us Victory for your immense love for us through the sacrifice on the Cross, you died but you also rose again, defeating all your enemies, placing them under your footstool and destroying the power of sin so that it does not rule over us and Giving us eternal life to be united to you forever in eternity.
Thank you for that great Victory my King of Kings. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
