Deuteronomio 13:8
No consentirás con él, ni le prestarás oído; ni tu ojo le compadecerá, ni le tendrás misericordia, ni lo encubrirás.
El príncipe de este mundo es Satanás (Juan 12:31), por eso debemos estar atentos y ser obedientes, porque de la manera más sutil, el enemigo querrá engañarnos.
Cómo le sucedió al profeta que Dios envió a exhortar a Jeroboam (1 Reyes 13).
Al principio él se mantuvo radical en lo que Dios le había encomendado, pero apareció otro profeta que lleno de celos, lo engaño diciendole como una revelación nueva venia de parte de Dios a través de él.
1 Reyes 13:18
Y el otro le dijo, mintiéndole: Yo también soy profeta como tú, y un ángel me ha hablado por palabra de Jehová, diciendo: Tráele contigo a tu casa, para que coma pan y beba agua.
No debemos poner en duda la palabra que Dios nos ha dado por nuevas opiniones provenientes de otra persona.
En 1 Tesalonicenses 5:21 nos dice:
Examinadlo todo; retened lo bueno. Absteneos de toda especie de mal.
2 Corintios 11:14-15
Y no es maravilla, porque el mismo Satanás se disfraza como ángel de luz. Así que, no es extraño si también sus ministros se disfrazan como ministros de justicia; cuyo fin será conforme a sus obras.
Fue fatal lo que le sucedió al joven profeta, que se dejó engañar, y no pudo continuar con el llamado de Dios.
1 Reyes 13: 23-24
Cuando había comido pan y bebido, el que le había hecho volver le ensilló el asno. Y yéndose, le topó un león en el camino, y le mató; y su cuerpo estaba echado en el camino, y el asno junto a él, y el león también junto al cuerpo.
El enemigo querrá interrumpir el anhelo que tenemos en nuestro corazón por cumplir nuestro llamado, por eso, nuestro primer deseo en el corazón debe ser nuestra intimidad con Dios en todo tiempo y obedecer a su palabra, aceptando su perfecta voluntad; que aunque estemos teniendo victorias y viviendo en un tiempo de gran bendición; no desviemos nuestro corazón y no nos dejemos cautivar por personas, lugares o cosas que Dios nos ha prohibido que frecuentemos o hagamos.
Él enemigo es astuto, pero siendo obedientes a lo que él nos ha dicho, sobrepasaremos cualquier clase de tentación o engaño.
1 Corintios 10:13
No os ha sobrevenido ninguna tentación que no sea humana; pero fiel es Dios, que no os dejará ser tentados más de lo que podéis resistir, sino que dará también juntamente con la tentación la salida, para que podáis soportar.
Oración:
Espíritu santo, te pido que me ayudes a sobrellevar todas las circunstancias y pruebas que se me presentan en la vida, a poder seguir tu llamado, a obedecer tu palabra y a desear cada día más estar en tu presencia. Que cada uno de mis pensamiento y acto sean reflejos de tu voluntad y de ti. En el nombré de Jesús. ¡Amén!
Don’t Allow Yourself to be Deceived
Deuteronomy 13:8
Do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them.
The prince of this world is Satan (John 12:31), so we must be attentive and obedient, for in the most subtle way, the enemy will want to deceive us.
How it happened to the prophet that God sent to exhort Jeroboam (1 Kings 13).
At first he remained radical in what God had entrusted to him, but another prophet appeared who was jealous, deceiving him by saying to him that a new revelation came from God through him.
1 Kings 13:18
The old prophet answered, “I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the Lord: ‘Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.’” (But he was lying to him.)
We must not question the word God has given us for new opinions from another person.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:21 he says:
Examine everything; retain the good. Abstain from all kinds of evil.
2 Corinthians 11:14- 15
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
It was fatal what happened to the young prophet, who let himself be deceived, and could not continue with God’s call.
1 Kings 13: 23-24
When the man of God had finished eating and drinking, the prophet who had brought him back saddled his donkey for him. As he went on his way, a lion met him on the road and killed him, and his body was left lying on the road, with both the donkey and the lion standing beside it.
The enemy will want to interrupt the longing we have in our hearts to fulfill our call, so our first desire in our hearts must be our intimacy with God at all times and to obey his word, accepting his perfect will; that even though we are having victories and living in a time of great blessing; let us not deviate our hearts and do not let ourselves be captivated by people, places, or things that God has forbidden us to frequent or do.
The enemy is cunning, but being obedient to what he has told us, we will overcome any kind of temptation or deception.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, I ask that you help me endure all the circumstances and trials that come before me in life, to be able to follow your call, to obey your word, and to desire more and to be in your presence every day. May each of my thoughts and acts be reflections of your will and of you. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
