ESTA JORNADA ES tan sagrada, tan consumidora de todo, que muy pocos responden a su llamado. Mientras que las semillas de esta búsqueda se encuentran en el corazón de cada hombre, mujer y niño, la mayoría parece estar entumecido a su existencia. Muchas cosas operan para ahogar su deseo de buscar el rostro de Aquel en cuya imagen usted fue creado. Sea que se sienta abrumado por los vientos prevalecientes del razonamiento secular o el dolor de la decepción religiosa, tales fuerzas lo llevan a abandonar la búsqueda máxima y rendirse al otro impulso que ha infectado al hombre desde la caída: el impulso de esconderse de Dios. ¿Ha permitido que las distracciones y el engaño ahoguen su deseo por Dios o que lo lleven a esconderse de Él?
PUNTO PARA MEDITAR Yo recibo la sabiduría de Dios y su gracia para reconocer las cosas que me impiden que vaya en pos de Él.

THIS JOURNEY IS so sacred, so all-consuming, that very few respond to its call. While the seeds of this quest are found in the heart of every man, woman, and child, most seem to be numb to its existence. Many things work to stifle your desire to seek the face of the One in whose image you were created. Whether you are overwhelmed by the prevailing winds of secular reasoning or the pain of religious disappointment, such forces cause you to abandon the ultimate quest and give in to the other impulse that has infected man since the fall—the impulse to hide from God. Have you allowed distractions and deception to stifle your desire for God or lead you to hide from Him?
POINT TO PONDER I receive God’s wisdom and grace to recognize things that keep me from pursuing Him.
