¿Creéis que puedo hacer esto? MATEO 9:28
Amenudo he dicho que escuchar a Dios es esencial para andar con Él. Sin embargo, hay momentos en que pensamos: He estado atento y no logro oír nada de parte del Señor. ¿Por qué no lo oímos? Durante los tres días siguientes consideraremos tres razones comunes por las que esto ocurre. La primera es: El Señor ha hablado y no podemos creer su respuesta, por lo que pensamos que lo escuchamos mal. Este es un problema de fe. Las deficiencias, las circunstancias adversas y las mentiras plantadas en lo profundo de nuestros corazones nos han convencido de que Dios realmente
no se manifestará. No logramos ver cómo responderá a todo aquello que hemos pedido; por tanto, hacemos caso omiso a lo que hemos percibido. Esto sucedió cuando el pueblo de Israel salió de Egipto y viajó hacia la tierra prometida. Al llegar, descubrieron que los residentes de esa región eran numerosos y muy fuertes. Los israelitas se asustaron tanto por sus enemigos que se rindieron sin siquiera tratar de apoderarse de su herencia (Números 13).
No cometamos la misma equivocación, pues podríamos perder la promesa. No necesitamos saber cómo Dios logrará lo que nos ha prometido. De lo que debemos estar seguros es que Él nunca ha incumplido su palabra. Escuchémoslo y confiemos en lo que nos dice.
Oración:
Jesús, creo en ti; sé que puedes hacer todo lo que has dicho. Confírmame tu palabra. Amén.
NOT HEARING DUE TO UNBELIEF
“Do you believe that I am able to do this?” MATTHEW 9:28
I’ve often said that listening to God is essential to walking with Him. However, there are times when we think, I’ve been listening and can’t hear a thing from the Lord. Why don’t we hear Him? Over the next three days we will consider three common reasons for this.
The first is this: The Lord has spoken, and we can’t believe His answer, so we think we heard Him wrong. This is a faith issue. The inadequacies, adverse circumstances, and lies that are planted deep within us have convinced us that God won’t really come through. We cannot see how He will accomplish it, so we disregard what we’ve heard.
This happened when the people of Israel left Egypt and traveled to the promised land. When they arrived, they discovered residents in the land were numerous and very strong. The Israelites were so frightened by their enemies they gave up without even trying to take hold of their inheritance (Numbers 13).
Don’t make their mistake and miss the promise. You don’t have to know how God will accomplish what He’s promised you—just that He’s never gone back on His word. Listen to Him and trust what He tells you.

Jesus, I believe You—I know You can do all You’ve said. Confirm Your word to me. Amen.
