Creo sinceramente que donde no hay compasión, no puede haber un cambio duradero. Mientras el liderazgo cristiano se burle y se burle en secreto de la perversión que entra en la Iglesia, no habrá sanidad. ¡La perversión es fruto del abuso! Mientras aplastemos lo que ya está roto por nuestros propios prejuicios y fobias, no habrá curación. El enemigo nos roba nuestro poder sanador al robarnos nuestra preocupación.
¡La compasión es la madre de los milagros! Cuando la tormenta agitó las aguas y los discípulos pensaron que morirían, no desafiaron el poder de Cristo; desafiaron su compasión. Los discípulos entraron en la parte trasera del barco y dijeron: “¿No te importa que perezcamos?” (Marcos 4:38). Ellos entendieron que si no hay verdadera compasión, entonces no puede haber milagro.
Hasta que nosotros, como sacerdotes, no seamos tocados con los sentimientos de las enfermedades de nuestros feligreses en lugar de simplemente apagarnos por sus síntomas, no se curarán.
A cada esposo que quiere ver sanada a su esposa, a cada madre que tiene una niña pequeña con un problema de mujer, el poder de curar está en el poder de cuidar.
Si eres una flecha rota, deja que alguien entre en la tormenta. Sé que normalmente no permites que nadie venga en tu ayuda. Me doy cuenta de que un abuso de confianza puede haberte dejado desconfiado de todos, pero los muros que construiste para protegerte también te han encarcelado. El Señor quiere soltarte del calabozo del miedo. A él le importa. Nos importa. Nadie le quitaría horas a sí mismo y a su familia orando por usted, predicándole o incluso escribiéndole esto si no le importara.
¿Qué pasó con los discípulos? ¡Jesús los reprendió! ¿Cómo pudieron haber pensado que al Dios que cabalgó con ellos en la tormenta no le importaba la tormenta? Jesús dijo: “Paz, enmudece” (Marcos 4:39). A ti todavía te está diciendo: “¡Paz, quédate quieto!”
TU VIAJE DE SANACIÓN
Los milagros comienzan como una inclinación de compasión. Jesús fue movido a compasión y sanó a los que estaban enfermos, endemoniados y afligidos. Antes de recibir su sanidad, reciba la compasión de Dios. Esto fortalece su fe para creer en la plenitud mientras viaja a lo largo de este viaje.
Cuando Dios es simplemente una fórmula religiosa estática que insertamos en nuestra jerga de oración espiritual en un intento de asegurar el resultado deseado, aunque podamos afirmar que estamos “orando con fe”, la verdad es que estamos orando en una fórmula.
La fe no se fortalece conociendo la fórmula correcta de oración; se fortalece al ser agarrado por el corazón compasivo de tu amoroso Dios. Cuando estés convencido de que Dios te ama, está a tu favor y es movido a compasión para sanar tu enfermedad, serás fortalecido a lo largo del camino. No importa qué circunstancias se presenten en tu camino o cuánto tiempo percibas la demora, permaneces arraigado en el amor inquebrantable de Dios.
¡Sabes que la sanidad viene porque la sanidad fluye de Su naturaleza inmutable como un Dios bueno que abunda en compasión!
MOVED BY COMPASSION
And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. —MATTHEW 14:14
I earnestly believe that where there is no compassion, there can be no lasting change. As long as Christian leadership secretly jeers and sneers at the perversion that comes into the Church, there will be no healing. Perversion is the offspring of abuse! As long as we crush what is already broken by our own prejudices and phobias, there will be no healing. The enemy robs us of our healing power by robbing us of our concern.
Compassion is the mother of miracles! When the storm had troubled the waters and the disciples thought they would die, they didn’t challenge Christ’s power; they challenged His compassion. The disciples went into the back of the ship and said, “Carest thou not that we perish?” (Mark 4:38). They understood that if there is no real compassion, then there can be no miracle.
Until we, as priests, are touched with the feelings of our parishioners’ illnesses rather than just turned off by their symptoms, they will not be healed.
To every husband who wants to see his wife healed, to every mother who has a little girl with a woman’s problem—the power to heal is in the power to care.
If you are a broken arrow, please allow someone into the storm. I know you usually do not allow anyone to come to your aid. I realize a breach of trust may have left you leery of everyone, but the walls you built to protect you have also imprisoned you. The Lord wants to loose you out of the dungeon of fear. He does care. We care. No one would take hours away from themselves and from their family praying for you, preaching to you, or even writing this to you if they didn’t care.
What happened to the disciples? Jesus rebuked them! How could they have thought that the God who rode with them in the storm didn’t care about the storm? Jesus said, “Peace, be still” (Mark 4:39). To you He is still saying, “Peace, be still!”
YOUR HEALING JOURNEY
Miracles begin as a bent of compassion. Jesus was moved with compassion and healed those who were sick, demonized, and afflicted. Before you receive your healing, receive God’s compassion. This strengthens your faith to believe for wholeness as you travel along this journey.
When God is simply a static religious formula that we insert into our spiritual prayer jargon in attempt to secure our desired result, even though we might claim to be “praying in faith,” the truth is we are praying in formula.
Faith is not strengthened by knowing the right prayer formula; it’s strengthened by being gripped by the compassionate heart of your loving God. When you are convinced that God loves you, is for you, and is moved with compassion to heal your infirmity, you will be strengthened along the journey. No matter what circumstances come your way or how long the perceived delay is, you remain grounded in the steadfast love of God.
You know healing is coming because healing flows out of His unchanging nature as a good God who abounds in compassion!
