Hay una tira cómica de The Family Circus en la que le piden a uno de los hijos que saque la basura. En la imagen se ve entonces el embrollado y errático recorrido que sigue el niño hasta llegar a su destino final. Salta por encima de los sofás y pasa a través de las ventanas, bajo la carretilla, alrededor de los árboles y entre sus hermanos; todo para llegar al contenedor de basura que lo espera fuera de casa.
A veces nuestras vidas pueden ser algo parecido: impredecibles, ilógicas e incoherentes. Los cambios en nuestro trabajo, matrimonio, familia o iglesia pueden hacer que el camino parezca irracional, desigual y confuso. Pero Dios nos ha hecho la promesa de una senda que no cambia jamás si guardamos su pacto. Si examinamos nuestras vidas a través de nuestra perspectiva humana limitada, el camino parece confuso. ¡Pero la guía de Jesucristo es eterna!
Oración:
Dios, tú has elegido mi camino y has puesto mis pies sobre él. Sé que es un camino de amor y fidelidad. Confío en ti incluso cuando mi camino parece desvanecerse. Aunque pueda resultar algo incómodo a veces, sigo confiando en ti; tú eres perfecto y eres bueno.
My Guide

There is a Family Circus cartoon where the son is asked to take out the garbage. The drawing then traces the tangled and erratic pathway between the boy and his final destination. He bounces over couches, through windows, under wheelbarrows, around trees, between siblings, all on the way to the curbside trash can.
Our lives can feel like this at times: unpredictable, illogical, and inconsistent. Changes in work, marriage, family, or church can make the road seem irrational, uneven, and confusing. But God makes us the promise of a steadfast path when we keep his covenant. When we consider our lives through our limited human perspective, the path seems wavering. But the guidance of Jesus Christ is, in fact, steadfast!
Prayer:
God, you have chosen my path and set my feet upon it. I know it is a path of love and faithfulness. I trust you even in the refinement of my path. Though it might be uncomfortable at times, I still trust you because you are perfect and you are good.
