2 SAMUEL 23:12
Sama era uno de los hombres poderosos de David, su robusto grupo de treinta guerreros que lucharon junto a este y cuyas hazañas eran legendarias. Pero incluso dentro de este grupo de poderosos soldados, Sama era considerado uno de la élite. Eso se debió a que «cierta vez los filisteos se reunieron en Lehi y atacaron a los israelitas en un campo lleno de lentejas. El ejército israelita huyó, pero Sama no cedió terreno en medio del campo e hizo retroceder a los filisteos. Así que el SEÑOR le dio una gran victoria» (2 Samuel 23:11-12, NTV). A pesar de que todos los demás se rindieron, Sama se mantuvo firme. Y Dios honró su fe.
Hay momentos en tu vida en los que querrás rendirte, pero el Señor te llamará a tomar una postura como la de Sama. Mientras otros a tu alrededor se niegan a lidiar con el problema o abandonan la situación por completo, tú serás desafiado a permanecer firme y honrar a Cristo sin importar el miedo. Hazlo. Obedece a Dios y déjale las consecuencias a Él. Y mantén tus ojos en Él, no en las circunstancias. El Señor te dará un gran triunfo a ti también.
Oración:
Jesús, sé que nunca estoy solo porque tú estás conmigo. Muéstrame cómo proceder con sabiduría y fe. Amén.
Stand Firm
He took his stand . . . and the LORD brought about a great victory.
2 SAMUEL 23:12
Shammah was one of David’s mighty men, his robust group of thirty warriors who fought alongside David and whose heroics were legendary. But even within this group of mighty soldiers, Shammah was considered one of the elite. This was because “one time the Philistines gathered at Lehi and attacked the Israelites in a field full of lentils. The Israelite army fled, but Shammah held his ground in the middle of the field and beat back the Philistines. So the LORD brought about a great victory” (2 Samuel 23:11–12 NLT). Despite everyone else giving up, Shammah stood firm. And God honored his faith.
There are times in your life when you’ll want to give up, but the Lord will call you to take a stand like Shammah. While others around you refuse to deal with the issue or abandon the situation altogether, you will be challenged to remain firm and honor Christ regardless of the fear. Do it. Obey God and leave the consequences to Him. And keep your eyes on Him rather than on the circumstances. He will bring about a great triumph for you as well.

Jesus, I know I never stand alone because You are with me. Show me how to proceed with wisdom and faith. Amen.
