El miedo, el pánico, la ansiedad, pueden aparecer de la nada. Diariamente, las noticias nos bombardean con estadísticas actualizadas sobre la economía mundial, conflictos y guerras, covid, entre otros: empresas que se ven obligadas a cerrar sus puertas, preocupación al enterarse de que alguna persona conocida, un amigo o uno de nuestros seres queridos haya perdido su trabajo.
Mantener la sensatez en momentos de disturbio no significa querer tapar el sol con un dedo, pero tampoco es sabio dejarse manipular y permitir que la preocupación nos descontrole. Existe un equilibrio entre el reconocimiento de la realidad actual y la preocupación que puede desviarte de la paz y seguridad que se encuentra en Dios.
El Salmo 112:7 describe la vida del creyente, para quien, ante la oscuridad que amenaza apoderarse de su vida, su corazón está seguro, «no tiene miedo de malas noticias; su corazón está firme, confiado en el Señor».
Aun cuando las regulaciones gubernamentales cambien diariamente – el alto precio de la gasolina, el incremento del precio en los alimentos– existe una cosa que se mantiene inmutable, el cuidado que Dios tiene de ti.
Nuestra fe en su cuidado puede marcar la diferencia en la manera que vivimos nuestra vida diaria en medio de tiempos inciertos, de cambios y restricciones que son impuestas a la sociedad.
«Su corazón firme nada teme, mirará con desdén a sus enemigos. Reparte, da a los pobres, su justicia permanece para siempre y alza su frente con honor». (Salmo 112: 8, 9 BLPH).
La manera en que te comportas en medio de la crisis tendrá un efecto duradero en las personas que te rodean. ¿Has decidido que la mejor forma de estar a salvo es aislándote de los demás? O ¿has encontrado formas de dar, servir y demostrar compasión en medio de las dificultades? Tenemos una ventaja que muchos otros tal vez no tengan.
Habita en la seguridad de la torre fuerte del Señor, y sé la luz que brilla e ilumina el camino para otros.
«Brilla en la oscuridad, es luz para los rectos, es clemente, es compasivo, es justo». Salmo 112:4

Padre Amado, muchas veces nos dejamos intimidar por todo lo malo que pasa a nuestro alrededor y queremos desfallecer; pero tu eres nuestra fuerza y nuestro protector; de ti proviene lo que necesitamos para estar firmes ante los problemas, por eso ayúdanos para que los temores se desvanezcan y podamos siempre colocar nuestra confianza en ti para siempre, en el nombre de Jesús. ¡Amén!
Stay calm
Fear, panic, anxiety, can come from nowhere. Daily, the news bombards us with up-to-date statistics on the world economy, conflicts and wars, covid, and among other things. Companies that are forced to close their doors, concern to learn that someone you know, a friend or one of our loved ones has lost their work.
Maintaining wisdom in times of disturbance does not mean wanting to cover the sun with a finger, but it is also not wise to be manipulated and allow worry to take us out of control. There is a balance between the recognition of the present reality and the concern that can divert you from the peace and security found in God.
Psalm 112:7 describes the life of the believer, for whom, in the darkness that threatens to take over his life, his heart is certain, “he is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, confident in the Lord”.
Even though government regulations change daily – the high price of gasoline, the increase in the price of food – there is one thing that remains immutable, God’s care for you.
Our faith in your care can make a difference in the way we live our daily lives amid uncertain times, changes and restrictions that are imposed on society.
“Your firm heart fears nothing, you will look with disdain at your enemies. He gives up, gives out to the poor, his justice remains forever and raises his front with honor”. (Psalm 112:8, 9).
The way you behave in the midst of the crisis will have a lasting effect on the people around you. Have you decided that the best way to be safe is to isolate yourself from others? Or have you found ways to give, serve, and show compassion in the midst of difficulties? We have an advantage that many others may not have.
He dwells in the security of the strong tower of the Lord, and he is the light that shines and illuminates the way for others.
“Glow in the dark, light for the upright, it’s gracious, it’s compassionate, it’s just.” Psalm 112:4
Prayer:
Father Beloved, we often let ourselves be intimidated by all the evil that happens around us and want to die; From You comes what we need to stand firm in the face of problems, so help us so that fears will fade and we can always place our trust in you forever, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
