No es fácil fijar nuestros ojos en algo que no podemos ver. Cuando abandonamos nuestra perspectiva terrenal a cambio de otra celestial, cambiamos radicalmente. Si nos centramos solo en lo que hay aquí, en la tierra, nos encontraremos rápidamente abrumados por el miedo y la incerteza.
Si fijamos nuestros ojos en la promesa del cielo, no podemos evitar sentirnos llenos de paz, gozo y esperanza. Debemos recordar que, aunque estamos en esta tierra solo durante un tiempo, el gozo del cielo será nuestra bendita realidad para la eternidad.
Oración:
Señor, ayúdame a fijar mis ojos en ti y en tu eternidad en vez de en los problemas momentáneos que me rodean. Dame tu perspectiva.
Unseen
We do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:18 TLB
It’s not easy to fix our eyes on something we can’t see. By abandoning our earthly perspective in exchange for a heavenly one, we are radically changed. If we are focused only on what is here on earth, we will quickly find ourselves overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty.
If we fix our eyes on the promise of heaven, then we cannot help but be filled with peace, joy, and hope. We must remember that while we are here on earth for only a little while, it is the joy of heaven that will be our eternal, blessed reality.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to fix my eyes on you and on eternity rather than on the momentary troubles around me. Give me your perspective.
