Si alguna vez has intentado bañar a un perro blanco que ha decidido salir a retozar por el barro, sabrás que parece tarea imposible conseguir librarte de toda esa suciedad, especialmente si al cachorro no le apetece demasiado someterse a un baño. Con solo que se sentara, quietecito, y permitiera que su propietario lo limpiara poco a poco, de forma metódica, seguramente no quedaría ni rastro de barro. Pero, a menudo, ni el perro ni su propietario tienen tanta paciencia.
Limpiar el pecado de nuestras vidas puede ser parecido a esto. Encontrar todas nuestras impurezas y librarnos de ellas puede ser un proceso lento y doloroso. Y, en ocasiones, puede parecer directamente imposible. Quizá no queremos que nos examinen o quizá nos cuesta quedarnos quietos. La buena noticia es que no tenemos que intentar purificarnos nosotros mismos. Dejemos que sea Dios quien lo haga. Por suerte, él es paciente y tiene la solución perfecta: utilizar el sacrificio de su Hijo para limpiarnos de toda nuestra suciedad. Hasta el último rincón.
Oración:
Señor, confío en que tú limpiarás tiernamente toda mi suciedad. Hazme otra vez pura. Ayúdame a quedarme sentada tanto rato como necesites para permitirte hacer tu obra redentora en mi corazón.
Clean Again

If you’ve ever tried to clean a white dog who had decided to run around in the mud, you’ll know it seems like an impossible task to get rid of every speck of dirt—especially if said puppy isn’t too keen on the bathing procedure. If it could just sit and allow its owner to work carefully and methodically, all traces of dirt could likely be eliminated. But often neither the dog nor its owner has that kind of patience.
Cleaning up the sin in our lives can feel similar. Finding and ridding ourselves of all impurity can be a slow and painful process. It might seem downright impossible at times. Maybe we don’t want to be examined, or perhaps sitting still is the problem. The good news is we don’t have to try to purify ourselves. We allow God to do it for us. Fortunately, he is patient, and he has the perfect solution. He uses the sacrifice of his Son to wash away all of our dirt. Every last speck.
Prayer:
Lord, I trust you to gently wash away all of my filth. Make me pure again. Help me to sit still for long enough to let you do your redemptive work in my heart.
