EN ESTE PUNTO, debería usted ser más consciente de la presencia del Señor a su alrededor. Su hambre por la provisión de Él y su atención se han intensificado.
Cuando ayunamos según el plan de Él, Dios dice: “Entonces invocarás, y te oirá Jehová; clamarás, y dirá él: Heme aquí” (Isaías 58:9). ¿Recuerda lo que el ángel le dijo a Daniel en Daniel 10? Desde el primer día en que Daniel comenzó a ayunar, Dios escuchó. ¡Lo único que retuvo su respuesta fue la batalla en los cielos!
Una mujer que se ofrecio a servir en la iglesia dio el testimonio más increíble de este hecho. Sus padres habían tenido graves problemas económicos por más de un año. Se les había notificado que comenzaría el proceso de un juicio hipotecario si no pagaban $5,500. Ella llamó a sus hermanos no salvos y les preguntó si querían unirse a ella para hacer algo que ayudase a sus padres en esa situación desesperada. ¡Dios la respaldó! Sus hermanos estuvieron de acuerdo, y comenzaron a ayunar. A los quince días del juicio, sus padres recibieron una llamada telefónica. Su padre había solicitado la invalidez en el año 2000, pero tardaron seis años en oír su caso. Llamaron para informar a la familia que su solicitud de invalidez había sido aprobada, y que habían mandado un cheque por correo ese mismo día por la cantidad de—¿está preparado para esto?—$86,000, que incluía la cantidad atrasada desde el año 2000. Además, él recibiría pagos por invalidez mensualmente. No hay modo en que sus hermanos pueden negar que Dios es quien hizo ese milagro.
Las promesas de Dios no se detienen ahí. Él también dice:
Y si dieres tu pan al hambriento, y saciares al alma afligida, en las tinieblas nacerá tu luz, y tu oscuridad será como el mediodía. Jehová te pastoreará siempre, y en las sequías saciará tu alma, y dará vigor a tus huesos; y serás como huerto de riego, y como manantial de aguas, cuyas aguas nunca faltan. Y los tuyos edificarán las ruinas antiguas; los cimientos de generación y generación levantarás, y serás llamado reparador de portillos, restaurador de calzadas para habitar. —ISAÍAS 58:10-12
En las tinieblas nacerá tu luz. En otras palabras, en situaciones que usted afronte que sean abrumadoras y no sepa cómo encontrar el camino en medio de las tinieblas de la oscuridad y la confusión, Dios hará que su luz brille sobre el camino que debe usted escoger.
Aunque el camino que hay delante de usted parezca oscuro, cuando ayuna y ora en fe, Dios le recompensará y le guiará. “Entonces tus oídos oirán a tus espaldas palabra que diga: Este es el camino, andad por él” (Isaías 30:21).
Recuerde que fue durante un ayuno cuando Pablo recibió el llamado de Dios y la misión para su vida. Pedro estaba ayunando cuando recibió su “revelación del terrado” de parte del Señor, quien llamó a Pedro a llevar el evangelio a los gentiles. ¿Qué le revelará Dios a usted durante su ayuno?
Quizá tenga usted hijos rebeldes o hijos e hijas que estén cometiendo fornicación, pero le digo que el ayuno y la oración romperán por completo esos espíritus de sus vidas.
En este día de ayuno, recuerde:
◇Mantenga su diario.
◇Continúe meditando y escuchando.
◇La menta ayudará a mantener fresco su aliento.

DONDEQUIERA QUE YO vaya, nunca voy solo. A lo que me refiero es que llevo conmigo parte de la generación pasada y de las futuras generaciones. Con frecuencia enseño: “Toda obra tiene una semilla”. En otras palabras, las obras que usted escoja hacer en esta vida crean una semilla para futuras generaciones. Ese hombre de negocios que hace un viaje y ve pornografía en secreto en la habitación de su hotel no solo se afecta a él mismo, sino que también está sembrando semillas para futuras generaciones. De modo similar, si ese mismo hombre de negocios escoge en cambio adorar a Dios en la intimidad de la habitación de su hotel, están siendo sembradas semillas de adoración y de fe en futuras generaciones. Dondequiera que usted vaya, cada obra está produciendo una semilla. Usted está sembrando iniquidad para la próxima generación, o está sembrando igualdad, espiritualidad y justicia para la siguiente generación. Hoy, ore por sus familiares y por quienes han de llegar. Rompa maldiciones generacionales y establezca bendiciones. Ponga un fundamento para la siguiente generación (véase Isaías 58).

Is He speaking to you?
AT THIS POINT, you should become more aware of the presence of the Lord around you. Your hunger for His provision and attention has intensified.
When we fast according to His plan, God says: “Then you will call, and the Lord will answer you; you will cry, and he will say, Here I am” (Isaiah 58:9). Do you remember what the angel said to Daniel in Daniel 10? From the first day that Daniel began to fast, God listened. The only thing that held back his response was the battle in the heavens!
A woman who volunteered to serve in the church gave the most incredible testimony to this fact. Her parents had been in serious financial trouble for over a year. She had been notified that she would begin the foreclosure process if they did not pay $5,500. She called her unsaved siblings and asked if they wanted to join her in doing something to help her parents in their desperate situation. God backed her up! Her brothers agreed, and they began to fast. Fifteen days after the trial, her parents received a phone call. Her father had applied for disability in 2000, but it took six years to hear her case. They called to inform the family that their disability claim had been approved, and that they had mailed a check that same day in the amount of—are you ready for this?—$86,000, which included the amount arrears from the year 2000. In addition, he would receive disability payments on a monthly basis. There is no way his brothers can deny that God is the one who did that miracle.
God’s promises do not stop there. He also says:
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.—ISAIAH 58:10-12
In the darkness your light will be born. In other words, in situations you face that are overwhelming and you don’t know how to find your way through the darkness and confusion, God will shine his light on the path you should choose.
Even though the path ahead seems dark, when you fast and pray in faith, God will reward you and guide you. “Then your ears will hear a word behind your back saying, This is the way, walk in it” (Isaiah 30:21).
Remember that it was during a fast that Paul received God’s call and his life’s mission. Peter was fasting when he received his “household revelation” from the Lord, who called Peter to take the gospel to the Gentiles. What will God reveal to you during his fast?
You may have rebellious children or sons and daughters who are committing fornication, but I tell you that fasting and prayer will completely break those spirits from your lives.
On this fast day, remember:
◇Keep your diary.
◇Continue meditating and listening.
◇Mint will help keep your breath fresh.

◇Reflect on the battle that is waged between the carnal man and the spiritual man.
◇ How has the presence of God become clearer through this experience?
Today’s Prayer Focus: Family
WHEREVER I go, I never go alone. What I mean is that I carry with me part of the past generation and of future generations. I often teach: “Every work has a seed.” In other words, the works that you choose to do in this life create a seed for future generations. That businessman who takes a trip and secretly views pornography in his hotel room is not only affecting himself, but is also planting seeds for future generations. Similarly, if that same businessman chooses instead to worship God in the privacy of his hotel room, seeds of worship and faith are being planted in future generations. Wherever you go, each work is producing a seed. You are sowing iniquity for the next generation, or you are sowing equality, spirituality and justice for the next generation. Today, pray for your relatives and for those who will arrive. Break generational curses and establish blessings. Lay a foundation for the next generation (see Isaiah 58).
