Una de las cosas a las que a menudo debemos renunciar para servir a Dios con todo nuestro corazón es nuestra reputación. Hay quienes no le apoyan en su caminar con Dios, por lo que debe aprender a no dejar que sus opiniones le restrinjan.
Jesús “se despojó a sí mismo” (ver Filipenses 2:7 RVR1960) y ahora es fácil para mí entender por qué. Si nos preocupamos demasiado por lo que la gente piensa de nosotros, nunca seguiremos a Cristo. Sacrifiqué mi reputación con la gente que conocía en el momento en que Dios me llamó y ahora me ha recompensado. Tengo muchos más amigos ahora que aquellos a los que renuncié hace tiempo.
Si está sufriendo la pérdida de su reputación o siendo juzgado y criticado injustamente por su fe en Dios, no se desespere. Continúe buscando a Dios en su momento de quietud con Él y espere su recompensa.

The Opinions of Others
For whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.
(Hebrews 11:6)
One of the things we often must give up in order to serve God with our whole hearts is our reputation. There are those who will not be supportive of your walk with God, and you have to learn not to let their opinions hold you back.
Jesus “made Himself of no reputation” (see Philippians 2:7 NKJV), and it is easy now for me to understand why. If we care too much about what people think of us, we will never fully follow Christ. I sacrificed my reputation with the people I knew at the time God called me, and now He has rewarded me. I have many more friends now than those I gave up long ago.
If you are suffering the loss of your reputation or being unfairly judged and criticized because of your faith in God, don’t despair. Continue seeking God in your quiet time with Him, and look forward to your reward.
Today’s Thought
God rewards those who diligently seek Him. When you are suffering persecution, look forward to the reward God has planned for you.
