En Cristo estamos protegidos. Tenemos un escudo fuerte, un defensor fiel y un guardián constante. Pero muchos confunden esta promesa como una garantía contra el dolor, el sufrimiento o las dificultades. Cuando las penas nos sobrepasan, ¿somos capaces de seguir fieles a nuestro protector? ¿Interpretaremos las adversidades como una traición, o aceptaremos con los brazos abiertos una protección que a veces implica hacernos más resistentes?
La seguridad de Dios nos protege según lo que necesitamos, no necesariamente de lo que nos hace daño. Las tormentas rugen a nuestro alrededor y el calor nos llenará la piel de ampollas, de forma incesante e incluso durante mucho tiempo. ¿Puedes creer que él te protegerá en todo esto? Su mano está sobre ti, defendiéndote y protegiéndote; no permitas que ninguna tormenta haga tambalear tu fe en esto, querida.
Oración:
Padre, creo que tu mano de protección está sobre mi vida incluso cuando las cosas no van como yo desearía. Mi fe se hace más profunda cuando reconozco que tú estás conmigo en la tormenta.
The Protection of God
For You have been a defense for the helpless, a defense for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat. ISAIAH 25:4 NASB
In Christ, we are protected. We have a strong shield, a faithful defender, and a constant guardian. Many have mistaken this promise as a guarantee against pain, suffering, or hardship. When sorrows overwhelm us, can we stay faithful to our protector? Will we interpret adversity as betrayal, or embrace a protection that sometimes involves endurance?
God’s security shelters us according to what we need, not necessarily from what pains us. The storms will rage and the heat will blister, each in their turn and maybe for a long time. Can you believe that he is protecting you through it all? His hand is upon you, defending and sheltering you; let no storm shake your faith in this, beloved.
Prayer:
Father, I believe your hand of protection is over my life even when things aren’t going as I hope. My faith is deepened when I recognize that you are with me in the storm.
