Y ahora, que toda la gloria sea para Dios, quien puede lograr mucho más de lo que pudiéramos pedir o incluso imaginar mediante su gran poder, que actúa en nosotros.
Efesios 3:20
Pablo era un escritor apasionado, y no escatimaba en énfasis. Él sigue orando en estos versículos para que sea revelado a aquellos creyentes de Éfeso Su poder, pero no se conforma con denominarlo así, sin más. Habla de la supereminente grandeza del mismo, de Su fuerza que es, por cierto, ¡la misma que operó en Cristo, para resucitarle de los muertos! ¡Nada menos!
¿Te imaginas ese abundancia aplicada a esas situaciones pequeñas y grandes que te parecen inmanejables? Para ti lo son, y para mí lo serían, pero Él, sin embargo, tiene todo el control en Sus manos y, si pudo producir la resurrección en Jesús, ¿qué hay sobre la tierra o fuera de ella que pueda resistírsele?
Cierra los ojos por un momento, e intenta ver ese problema que tienes. Intenta ahora verlo otra vez incluyendo la intervención sobrenatural de Dios, como una oleada imparable que alcanza cada aspecto de esa situación. Quizá no dará el resultado que querrías en forma de eliminación de la circunstancia que te atenaza, pero se mueve en la línea de capacitarte, dotarte y alistarte para aquello que el Señor ha permitido que experimentes.
Seguramente pienses “No estoy listo” o “Me falta mucho”, pero eso sería ir en tus fuerzas. Lo que llevamos con nosotros, dentro de nosotros, habitando en nuestras vidas y permitiéndole, es el Espíritu Santo de poder, de consolación y de capacitación.
Poder ser Su cuerpo, la plenitud de Aquel que todo lo llena en todo (v. 23) es nuestro regalo por Su gracia, el don más preciado y rico que podremos recibir jamás. ¡Hijos adoptados con todos los derechos!
Contamos, además, si no lo perdemos de vista, con la mayor esperanza, la más abundante herencia, y el poder más arrollador que el mundo conocerá jamás. ¡Qué tragedia tan grande tener todo esto a disposición y no utilizarlo por ser olvidadizos!
¿Crees que no puedes?
¿Te sientes insuficiente y abrumado?
¿Te resulta aún más complejo añadiendo a la ecuación tu vida cristiana y sus dificultades?
Mira alrededor y palpa el vacío de una vida sin esperanza, pobre y con las fuerzas mínimas. ¡Esa ya no es tu naturaleza! ¡Tienes otra! Cuentas con la mente de Cristo. (1ª Corintios 2:16).
El mundo está cansado porque carece del poder revitalizante que solo Dios nos da. Tú y yo hemos palpado algo de todo eso, pero necesitamos recordar, y hacerlo a menudo.
¡Que el Señor avive nuestras mentes y sea alumbrado nuestro entendimiento!
Oración:
¡Rey de Gloria! Eres tú, quien llenas nuestros vacíos, complementándonos en todo; aunque en nuestros pensamientos creamos que no podemos, tú poder de gracia nos sostiene, y nos ayudas a vencer; somos tus hijos y coherederos juntos en ti Señor. En tu nombre podemos lograr lo imposible, con tu grandeza y poder actuando en nosotros, en el nombre de Jesús. ¡Amén!
The Force of His Power (Ephesians 1:19-23)
Ephesians 3:20
And now, may all glory be for God, who can accomplish far more than we could ask for or even imagine through His great power, which acts in us.
Ephesians 3:20
Paul was a passionate writer, and he spared no emphasis. He continues to pray in these verses that His power will be revealed to those believers in Ephesus, but He is not content to call it that, without more. It speaks of the super-eminent greatness of It, of Its strength which is, by the way, the same that operated in Christ, to raise Him from the dead! Nothing less!
Can you imagine that abundance applied to those small and large situations that seem unmanageable to you? To you they are, and to me they would be, but He nevertheless has all control in His hands, and if He was able to bring about the resurrection in Jesus, what is there on earth or outside of it that can resist Him?
Close your eyes for a moment, and try to see that problem you have. Try now to see it again by including God’s supernatural intervention, as an unstoppable wave that reaches every aspect of that situation. It may not give the result you would like in the form of eliminating the circumstance that grips you, but it moves along the lines of empowering, equipping, and preparing you for what the Lord has allowed you to experience.
Surely you think “I’m not ready” or “I lack a lot”, but that would be to go in your forces. What we carry with us, within us, dwelling in our lives and allowing Him, is the Holy Spirit of power, consolation, and empowerment.
To be able to be His body, the fullness of the One who fills everything in everything (v. 23) is our gift by His grace, the most precious and rich gift we can ever receive.
We also count, if we do not lose sight of it, with the greatest hope, the most abundant inheritance, and the most overwhelming power that the world will ever know. What a great tragedy to have all this at our disposal and not to use it because it is forgetful!

Do you feel insufficient and overwhelmed?
Is it even more complex for you to add your Christian life and its difficulties to the equation?
Look around and feel the emptiness of a life without hope, poor and with minimal strength. That is no longer your nature! You have another! You count on the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16).
The world is tired because it lacks the revitalizing power that only God gives us. You and I have felt some of that, but we need to remember, and do it often.
May the Lord enliven our minds and enlighten our understanding!
Prayer:
King of Glory! It is you, who fill our voids, complementing us in everything; although in our thoughts we believe that we cannot, your power of grace sustains us, and helps us to overcome; we are your children and co-heirs together in you Lord. In your name we can achieve the impossible, with your greatness and power acting in us, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
