Hechos 26:23
Que el Cristo había de padecer, y ser el primero de la resurrección de los muertos, para anunciar luz al pueblo y a los gentiles.
La Escritura nos enseña claramente como Jesús sufrió un gran precio por amor a nosotros. Su sacrificio fue demostrado durante su vida y ministerio. Su entrega y sacrificio fue dado completamente a la misión y propósito que fue dado por el Padre. A Jesús le costo muy alto precio para llegar a ver el cumplimiento de su destino aquí en la tierra. ¡Un precio que lo llevo hasta la cruz del Calvario! Su precio le costo derramamiento de sangre y al final muerte en la cruz. En Filipenses 2:8 nos dice, “y estando en la condición de hombre, se humilló a sí mismo, haciéndose obediente hasta la muerte, y muerte de cruz.”
La cruz era la demostración mas grande del amor de Dios hacia la humanidad. Su ejemplo de sacrificio y entrega fue evidente para nosotros. Pero me pregunto, ¿qué haremos con este ejemplo que Jesús nos a dejado? Estamos dispuestos a seguir sus pisadas? Jesús hoy llama a hombres y mujeres a entregar sus vidas por completo para seguirle diariamente.
En Marcos 8:34 nos dice claramente, “y llamando a la gente y a sus discípulos, les dijo: Si alguno quiere venir en pos de mí, niéguese a sí mismo, y tome su cruz, y sígame.”
El Señor nos llama hoy día el poder seguir sus pisadas. El sufrimiento y sacrificio de Jesús debe ser nuestro modelo. Así como nos dice Romanos 12:1, “así que, hermanos, os ruego por las misericordias de Dios, que presentéis vuestros cuerpos en sacrificio vivo, santo, agradable a Dios, que es vuestro culto racional.” ¡Nosotros somos llamados a presentar nuestros cuerpos en sacrificio vivó y agradable; nos llama ya a ser luz en el mundo y ha llegado nuestro tiempo de brillar, recuerda siempre lo que Él hizo por ti y sigue sus pasos porque el ganó la victoria y nosotros podemos establecernos y caminar en victoria con Él.
Una vida que logre demostrar entrega a los propósitos y planes del Señor.
Isaías 53:3-5
Despreciado y desechado entre los hombres, varón de dolores, experimentado en quebranto; y como que escondimos de él el rostro, fue menospreciado, y no lo estimamos. Ciertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades, y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido. Mas él herido fue por nuestras rebeliones, molido por nuestros pecados; el castigo de nuestra paz fue sobre él, y por su llaga fuimos nosotros curados.
Al leer esta porción de Isaias 53, logramos ver el gran sufrimiento que Jesús vivo en la Cruz del Calvario. El profeta Isaías describe con mucho detalle en el versículo 4, “ciertamente llevó él nuestras enfermedades, y sufrió nuestros dolores; y nosotros le tuvimos por azotado, por herido de Dios y abatido.” Estas palabras expresan cuan doloroso fue el sufrimiento que Jesús experimento al llevar nuestros pecados en la Cruz. La agonía física que el paso en la crucifixión fue indecible e intensa. ¡nada se compara a este sufrimiento y agonía!
Por un momento pensemos, El sufrio todo esto por amor a nosotros. Con el solo propósito que nosotros hoy disfrutemos de todos los beneficios como resultado de su muerte sobre el madero. Esto nos debe llenar de inmenso agradecimiento. Que bendición logar comprender todos los beneficios que recibidos el día de hoy por medio de la Cruz. No tan solo Jesús nos ofrece perdón de nuestros pecados en la Cruz, ¡pero tenemos sanidad divina! El Evangelio de Mateo nos vuele a recordar esto, “para que se cumpliese lo dicho por el profeta Isaías, cuando dijo: El mismo tomó nuestras enfermedades, y llevó nuestras dolencias” (Mateo 8:17).
Jesús llevo todas nuestras enfermedades y dolencias sobre El en la Cruz. Hoy tenemos la promesa de sanidad divina, que por medio de El sacrificio que el hizo en Calvario. ¡Somos sanados por sus heridas! Mas allá del perdón que recibimos, también el Señor nos ofrece sanidad de toda dolencia y enfermedad que nos aflige. Podemos declarar como el Salmista el día de hoy, “El es quien perdona todas tus iniquidades, El que sana todas tus dolencias” (Salmos 103:3). En este día si necesitamos sanidad para nuestro cuerpo físico, entonces solo hay que creer y tomar su promesa. ¡Creer que por medio de la Cruz somos completamente sanos!
Oremos que el día de hoy podamos tener un anhelo ardiente en nuestro corazón para lograr disponer nuestras vidas al servicio del Señor. Su obra es grande y se requiere un compromiso de sacrificio y entrega de nuestra parte.
Oración
Gracias Padre por la manifestación de tu amor a través del Señor Jesús; gracias Jesús por venir al mundo a sufrir por nosotros y se por revelarnos la verdad, enséñanos cada día a ser como tú, queremos proclamar tu evangelio y ser también modelos de la expresión de tu amor. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén!
Jesus Suffered For Us
Acts 26:23
That Christ was to suffer, and be the first of the resurrection of the dead, to announce light to the people and to the Gentiles.
Scripture clearly teaches us how Jesus suffered a great price out of love for us. His sacrifice was demonstrated during His life and ministry. His dedication and sacrifice was completely given to the mission and purpose that was given by the Father. It cost Jesus a high price to see His destiny fulfilled here on earth. A price that took Him to the cross of Calvary! Its price cost Him bloodshed and ultimately death on the cross. In Philippians 2: 8 he tells us, “And being in the condition of man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, and death on a cross.”
The cross was the greatest demonstration of God’s love for humanity. His example of sacrifice and dedication was evident to us. But I wonder, what will we do with this example that Jesus has left us? Are we ready to follow in His footsteps? Jesus today calls men and women to lay down their lives completely to follow Him daily.
In Mark 8:34 He clearly tells us, “And calling the people and His disciples, He said to them: If anyone wants to come after me, deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
The Lord calls us today to be able to follow in His footsteps. The suffering and sacrifice of Jesus should be our model. Just as Romans 12: 1 tells us, “therefore, brothers, I beg you by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your rational worship.” We are called to present our bodies as a living and pleasant sacrifice; He calls us now to be light in the world and our time to shine has come, always remember what He did for you and follow in His footsteps because He won the victory and we can establish ourselves and walk in victory with Him.
A life that manages to demonstrate dedication to the Lord’s purposes and plans.
Isaiah 53: 3-5
Despised and rejected among men, a man of sorrows, experienced in grief; and since we hid our faces from him, he was despised, and we do not esteem him. Certainly he bore our diseases, and suffered our pains; and we considered him scourged, wounded by God, and beaten down. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our sins; the punishment of our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed.
By reading this portion of Isaiah 53, we can see the great suffering that Jesus lived on the Cross of Calvary. The prophet Isaiah describes in great detail in verse 4, “He certainly bore our diseases, and suffered our pains; and we considered him scourged, wounded by God, and beaten down. ” These words express how painful was the suffering that Jesus experienced in bearing our sins on the Cross. The physical agony that the crucifixion stepped on was unspeakable and intense. Nothing compares to this suffering and agony!
Let us think for a moment, He suffered all of this out of love for us. With the sole purpose that we today enjoy all the benefits as a result of His death on the tree. This should fill us with immense gratitude. What a blessing to be able to understand all the benefits received today through the Cross. Not only does Jesus offer us forgiveness of our sins on the Cross, but we have divine healing! The Gospel of Matthew reminds us of this again, “so that what was said by the prophet Isaiah would be fulfilled, when he said: He himself took our diseases and bore our diseases” (Matthew 8:17).
Jesus carried all our diseases and ailments upon Him on the Cross. Today we have the promise of divine healing, through the sacrifice that He made on Calvary. We are healed by His wounds! Beyond the forgiveness we receive, the Lord also offers us healing from all ailments and diseases that afflict us. We can declare like the Psalmist today, “He it is who forgives all your iniquities, He who heals all your diseases” (Psalm 103: 3). On this day if we need healing for our physical body, then we just have to believe and take His promise. Believe that through the Cross we are completely healthy!
Let us pray that today we can have a burning desire in our hearts to be able to dispose of our lives in the service of the Lord. His work is great and requires a commitment of sacrifice and dedication on our part.

Thank you Father for the manifestation of Your love through the Lord Jesus; Thank you Jesus for coming to the world to suffer for us and for revealing the truth to us, teach us every day to be like You, we want to proclaim Your gospel and also be models of the expression of Your love. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
