Hay momentos en la vida en los que sientes que Dios no te escucha. Aunque Él dice: «Clama a Mí, y Yo te responderé» (Jeremías 33:3), por alguna razón parece estar lejano. Puede que pienses que la grieta relacional se origina en Él, pero la verdad es que la distancia siempre procede de nosotros. Cuando el Padre te muestra lo que tienes que hacer y tú te niegas a abordarlo, estableces barreras de separación. Te mientes a ti mismo —y a Dios— al decir que a Él no le interesa esa área de tu vida y que ya lo tienes controlado. Pero cuando continúas en patrones de pecado conocidos y te niegas a reconocer su influencia corrosiva, te será difícil disfrutar de la cercanía de Dios.
El remedio es la sinceridad. Reconoce tu pecado, apártate de él y camina por la senda que Dios te ha mostrado. Puede que no conquistes esa área problemática de tu vida al instante; a veces los lugares que escondemos de Dios son profundos y muy dolorosos. Pero si siempre le dices que sí y confías en que Él te guiará, establecerás el camino hacia la intimidad que te ayudará a superar cualquier obstáculo.
Oración:
Jesús, abro completamente mi corazón y estoy dispuesto a aceptar todo lo que tú me digas. Amén.
Call to Him in Truth
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
PSALM 145:18
There are times in life when you may feel as if God is not listening to you. Although He says, “Call to Me and I will answer you” (Jeremiah 33:3), for some reason He seems far away. You may think the relational fissure originates with Him, but the truth is, the distance always comes from us. When the Father shows you what to do and you refuse to address it, you set up barriers between you. You lie to yourself—and to Him—by saying that He is not serious about that area in your life and you’ve got it handled. But when you continue in known sin patterns and refuse to acknowledge their corrosive influence, you will have a difficult time enjoying the nearness of God.
The remedy is honesty. Acknowledge your sin, turn away from it, and walk in the path God has shown you. You may not conquer that problem area of your life instantly—sometimes the places we hide from God run deep and are very painful. But by always saying yes to Him and trusting Him to lead, you set the course for intimacy that will help you overcome every obstacle.

Jesus, I open my heart completely and am ready to agree with whatever You tell me. Amen.
