Proverbios 18:24
Se pasa bien compartiendo con los amigos, y un verdadero amigo es mejor que un hermano.
Es bueno tener amigos con quienes divertirse, pero está mucho mejor tener amigos con quienes puedo pasar cualquier adversidad, y saber que, a pesar de eso, estarán conmigo.
Amigos con los que compartes valores y no solo gustos. Amigos que te ayudan a sacar lo mejor de ti, que te potencian y no te limitan. Amigos que no se fijan primero en su seguridad sino en el propósito.
Imagino que alguno de los tres amigos de la historia que relata el libro de Daniel, habrá respondido primero a la pregunta del rey Nabucodonosor: “¿Es verdad, Sadrac, Mesac y Abed-nego, que vosotros no honráis a mi dios, ni adoráis la estatua de oro que he levantado?”. Se habrán mirado entre ellos y uno habrá dicho: “Por lo que nos conocemos, te puedo asegurar que pensamos igual. No lo vamos a hacer ni aunque nos mates”. No fue necesario hablarlo mucho, ya se conocían. Ya sabían en dónde estaba su confianza y quién era su Dios. Por eso el temor no tuvo lugar. Ya sabían quiénes eran en Dios.
No temieron a un rey lleno de ira, ni los afectó el ser atados y enfrentados al horno de fuego. Miraban más allá. Estaban más allá.
Busca intencionalmente amistades que te desafíen a superarte, a lograr ser la mejor versión de ti mismo hoy y mañana. ¿Tienes de esos amigos? Hónralos con un mensaje o una llamada. Reconóceles cuán importante es para ti su amistad.
Oración:
Bendito Dios!
Tu eres nuestro fiel amigo y es esa misma fidelidad que reposa en nuestros corazones para poder ser un verdadero amigo que ama, honra y respeta, una verdadera amistad. Que la unidad que hay entre el Padre y Jesús sea la misma entre nosotros como hermanos, con tu ayuda Espíritu Santo podremos apoyarnos en las buenas y aun en los tiempos malos, en el nombre de Jesús, ¡Amén!

You have fun sharing with friends, and a true friend is better than a brother.
It’s good to have friends with whom to have fun, but it’s much better to have friends with whom I can go through any adversity, and know that, despite that, they will be with me.
Friends with whom you share values and not just tastes. Friends who help you get the best out of you, who empower you and don’t limit you. Friends who look not first at your safety but at the purpose.
I imagine that one of the three friends in the story that tells the book of Daniel will have answered first the question of King Nebuchadnezzar: “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, that you do not honor my god, nor worship the golden statue that I have raised?” They will have looked at each other and one will have said: “As far as we know each other, I can assure you that we think the same. We’re not going to do it even if you kill us.” They will have looked at each other and one will have said: “As far as we know each other, I can assure you that we think the same. We’re not going to do it even if you kill us.” It was not necessary to speak much, they knew. They already knew where their trust was and who their God was. That is why fear did not take place. They already knew who they were with God.
They did not fear a king full of anger, nor did they be affected by being bound and confronted with the furnace of fire. They looked beyond. They were beyond.
Intentionally look for friendships that challenge you to beat yourself, to make yourself the best version today and tomorrow. Do you have those friends? Honor them with a message or call. Recognize them how important their friendship is to you.
Prayer:
Blessed God! You are our faithful friend and it is that same fidelity that rests in our hearts to be a true friend who loves, honors and respects, a true friendship. May the unity between the Father and Jesus be the same among us as brothers and sisters, with your help the Holy Spirit we can rely on good times and even bad times, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
