Filipenses 2:3
No hagan nada por egoísmo o vanidad; más bien, con humildad consideren a los demás como superiores a ustedes mismos.
La humildad es indispensable para la armonía entre las personas. Cuando consideramos al prójimo como superior a nosotros protegemos a nuestro hermano y nos alejamos de la altivez. Si todos como hijos de Dios tenemos la misma visión, unos servirán a los otros y todos darán frutos saludables.
Donde hay humildad no existe el egoísmo o la competencia. Jesús es el mejor ejemplo a seguir:
– Mateo 11:29
Llevad mi yugo sobre vosotros, y aprended de
mí, que soy manso y humilde de corazón; y hallaréis descanso para vuestras almas;
No estamos en el mundo para competir sino para servirnos los unos a los otros en amor. Cristo, aun siendo Rey, se hizo siervo y dio su propia vida a nuestro favor.
– Mateo 20:26-28
Pero entre ustedes no debe ser así. Al contrario, el que quiera hacerse grande entre ustedes deberá ser su servidor, y el que quiera ser el primero deberá ser esclavo de los demás; así como el Hijo del hombre no vino para que le sirvan, sino para servir y para dar su vida en rescate por muchos.
Ten a Jesús como tu influencia principal:
¡Sé un siervo! Quien está dispuesto a servir no se preocupa con las posiciones o cargos en la vida (Social o Ministerial). Cuando actuamos con humildad generamos un
ambiente lleno de armonía y libre del deseo de competir y podemos obtener el ascenso en cualquier lugar con nuestra actitud.
Cultivando un corazón humilde:
• Ten a Jesús como ejemplo. Lee el Evangelio y esfuérzate en imitar la actitud de Cristo.
• Evita las comparaciones. Al comparar abrimos la puerta a las disputas y nos alejamos de la comunión.
• No sirvas a los demás por causa de la posición social o ministerial. Antes, sirve a todos con amor y respeto sabiendo que de Jesús viene la exaltación.
• Considera a los demás como superiores a ti mismo. Todos son importantes en el cuerpo de Cristo.
Oración:
Señor Jesús, quiero seguir tus pasos. Enséñame a tener un corazón más humilde y amoroso para poder expandir tu reino con humildad, ayúdame cada día más a ser como tú. En el nombre de Jesús, amén.
Humility the key to living in communion
Philippians 2: 3
Do nothing out of selfishness or vanity; rather, humbly regard others as superior to yourself.
Humility is essential for harmony between people. When we consider our neighbor as superior to ourselves, we protect our brother and we move away from haughtiness. If all of us as children of God have the same vision, some will serve others and all will bear healthy fruits.
Where there is humility there is no egotism or competition. Jesus is the best example to follow:
- Matthew 11:29
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am meek and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls;
We are not in the world to compete but to serve one another in love. Christ, even being King, became a servant and gave his own life in our favor.
- Matthew 20: 26-28
But between you, it should not be like this. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be the slave of others; just as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Have Jesus as your main influence:
Be a servant! Those who are willing to serve are not concerned with positions in life
(Social or Ministerial). When we act with humility we generate an environment full of harmony and free from the desire to compete and we can get promoted anywhere with our attitude.
Cultivating a humble heart:
• Have Jesus as an example. Read the Gospel and strive to imitate the attitude of Christ.
• Avoid comparisons. By comparing we open the door to disputes and we move away from communion.
• Do not serve others because of social or ministerial position. Before, serve everyone with love and respect knowing that exaltation comes from Jesus.
• Consider others as superior to yourself.
Everyone is important in the body of Christ.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I want to follow in your footsteps. Teach me to have a more humble and loving heart to be able to expand your kingdom with humility, help me every day to be more like you. In the name of Jesus, amen.
