Mateo 15:22
Y he aquí una mujer cananea que había salido de aquella región clamaba, diciéndole: ¡Señor, Hijo de David, ten misericordia de mí! Mi hija es gravemente atormentada por un demonio.
Humildad en la Biblia
Según la doctrina cristiana, la humildad es la actitud virtuosa que se debe observar ante Dios, ante su superioridad y perfección, y en plena conciencia de que ha sido Él quien ha concedido la gracia de la existencia.
Como cristianos, la humildad implica reconocer la propia pequeñez ante el misterio de la vida, aceptar la igual dignidad de todos los seres humanos y someterse a la voluntad de Dios, apreciada como buena, agradable y perfecta. En este sentido, la Biblia aconseja en:
1 Pedro 5:5
“Revestíos de humildad hacia los demás, porque Dios resiste a los soberbios y da gracia a los humildes”.
Sin embargo, en este pasaje, en la mujer cananea la fe,
es más que “creer que”. Es creer en. Creer en alguien significa confiar en él, confiándoles algo de valor, incluso confiándoles nuestro propio ser. Aquí la mujer le confía el destino de su hija al hombre que está frente a ella. El deseo de salvar a su hija le impulsa a seguir a este hombre, a buscarle sin descanso hasta que obtiene lo que cree que el puede darle.
A menudo, Jesús reprende a sus discípulos por tener poca fe. Su fe es poca porque se acobardan frente a los obstáculos. La fe de esta mujer es grande porque superó cada obstáculo que enfrentó. El es el Rey de los judíos. Ella es pagana. Ella pregunta, el guarda silencio. Ella repite la petición dos veces más, el dice que no. A ella no le importa. Simplemente sigue adelante.
Notemos que a pesar de ser insistente, ella es humilde. No discute la “preferencia” de Jesús por los judíos. No exige arrogantemente que se le sirva primero. Se conforma con las sobras.
Jesús había venido primero por el pueblo de Israel. Solo estaba en la primera fase de su misión. La hora de los gentiles todavía no había llegado. Sin embargo, la gran fe de esta mujer y su humildad, aparentemente le indujo a adelantar su agenda.
Aunque la mujer cananea tenia fe, arrebató su milagro a través del principio que nos enseña la palabra; en como nos debemos acercar a Dios.
Salmos 138:6
Aunque el Señor es grande, se ocupa de los humildes, pero se mantiene distante de los orgullosos.
Santiago 4:10
Humíllense delante del Señor, y él los levantará con honor.
Tu y yo somos hijos de Dios, hemos sido aceptos a través de Jesús, por eso en la gran manifestación del amor de Dios para darnos la salvación debemos estar siempre con un corazón humilde, por que por nosotros mismos sería imposible obtener la salvación y solo a través de su Santo Espíritu nos mantendrá firmes en El. Reconoce esto siempre, te ayudara a mantenerte humilde, que despegados de Él, nada podemos hacer.
Salmos 51:17
Los sacrificios de Dios son el espíritu quebrantado; Al corazón contrito y humillado no despreciarás tú, oh Dios.
Pide al Espíritu Santo que examine siempre tu corazón, debemos ser siempre humildes delante de Dios y los hombres.

▪︎ Crees que puedes lograr todo lo que te propongas en tu vida, sin la intervención de Dios?
Oración:
Rey de Gloria! Venimos ante ti con corazones sinceros a pedirte perdón por caminar en orgullo, soberbia y altivez de corazón que no permitía ver tu Gloria manifestarse en nuestras vidas; hoy nos humillamos ante tu altar y nos revestimos de humildad, Fe y amor; hoy queremos agradarte y llegar a tu corazón, en el nombre de Jesús , Amén!
Humility
Matthew 15:22
And behold, a Canaanite woman who had come out of that region cried out, saying to him: Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is seriously tormented by a demon.
Humility in the Bible
According to Christian doctrine, humility is the virtuous attitude that must be observed before God, before his superiority and perfection, and in full awareness that it was He who has granted the grace of existence.
As Christians, humility implies acknowledging our own littleness in the face of the mystery of life, accepting the equal dignity of all human beings and submitting to the will of God, appreciated as good, pleasant and perfect. In this sense, the Bible advises on:
1 Peter 5: 5
“Clothe yourselves with humility towards others, because God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.”
However, in this passage, in the Canaanite woman faith,
it is more than “believing that”. It is to believe in. Believing in someone means trusting them, entrusting them with something of value, even trusting them with our own being. Here the woman entrusts the fate of her daughter to the man in front of her. The desire to save his daughter prompts him to follow this man, to seek him tirelessly until he gets what he believes he can give her.
Jesus often rebukes his disciples for having little faith. Their faith is low because they cower in the face of obstacles. This woman’s faith is great because she overcame every obstacle she faced. He is the King of the Jews. She is pagan. She asks, he is silent. She repeats the request two more times, he says no. She does not care. Just keep going.
Note that despite being insistent, she is humble. It does not dispute Jesus’ “preference” for the Jews. He does not arrogantly demand to be served first. Settles for leftovers.
Jesus had come first for the people of Israel. He was only in the first phase of his mission. The hour of the Gentiles had not yet come. However, this woman’s great faith and humility apparently prompted him to advance his agenda.
Although the Canaanite woman had faith, she snatched her miracle through the principle that the word teaches us; in how we should approach God.
Psalm 138: 6
Although the Lord is great, He cares for the humble, but He remains distant from the proud.
James 4:10
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up with honor.
You and I are children of God, we have been accepted through Jesus, that is why in the great manifestation of God’s love to give us salvation we must always be with a humble heart, because by ourselves it would be impossible to obtain salvation and only Through His Holy Spirit He will keep us firm in Him. Always recognize this, it will help you to stay humble, that detached from Him, we can do nothing.
Psalm 51:17
God’s sacrifices are a broken spirit; You will not despise a contrite and humbled heart, O God.
Ask the Holy Spirit to always examine your heart, we must always be humble before God and men.
