“Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, que es el primer mandamiento con promesa”
Efesios 6:2
Tus padres eligieron que vengas al mundo y de criarte con sus aciertos y desaciertos para que seas la mujer que eres ahora. Como mujer virtuosa los respetas siguiendo sus reglas y consejos durante tu juventud, y los honras escuchándolos y respetando sus ideas en la adultez.
En caso que tus padres te maltraten, ya sea en acciones o palabras, necesitarás amarte a ti misma, y tomar distanciarte de cualquier situación abusiva, hacerlo es la acción más virtuosa que podrías tomar.
La biblia expresa que “es el primer mandamiento con promesa”. Y cual era esa promesa la de ¡prolongar tus días y te irá bien en todo! ¿Te gustaría vivir mucho tiempo? ¿Quieres que te vaya bien? Bueno, aquí hay algo para ti: honra a tus padres y eso es lo que sucederá
Oración:
Señor ayúdame a honrar a mis padres, a escuchar y respetar sus consejos, te lo pido en el Nombre de Jesús.
Reflexión:
Honra, cuida y respeta a tus padres son cualidades de una mujer virtuosa.
Honor Your Parents
‘Honor your father and mother—which is the first commandment with a promise’
Ephesians 6:2
Your parents chose to bring you into the world and raised you with their successes and mistakes to make you the woman you are now. As a virtuous woman, you respect them by following their rules and advice during your youth, and honor them by listening to and respecting their ideas in adulthood.
If your parents mistreat you, whether in actions or words, you will need to love yourself and distance yourself from any abusive situation. Doing so is the most virtuous action you could take.
The Bible says that it is ‘the first commandment with a promise.’ And what was that promise? It was to ‘enjoy long life on the earth.’ Do you want to live a long time? Do you want things to go well for you? Well, here’s something for you: honor your parents, and that’s what will happen.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to honor my parents, to listen to and respect their advice. I ask this in the Name of Jesus.
Reflection:
Honoring, caring for, and respecting your parents are qualities of a virtuous woman.
