Pasamos gran parte de nuestras vidas intentando agradar a los demás, ya sea con una casa ordenada, una comida deliciosa, un magnífico regalo de cumpleaños o ropa nueva. Parece que, para ganar la aprobación de otros, tenemos que hacer cosas que nos hagan quedar bien ante ellos.
Y así es, a menudo, como nos acercamos a Dios: con grandes esfuerzos por hacer las cosas correctas para agradarle. Pero la Biblia dice que es imposible agradarle sin fe. ¿Qué es la fe? La fe es una creencia en tu corazón y una confesión con tu boca de que Jesucristo es el Señor. Lo que complace a Dios no es lo que haces, sino un corazón que busca seguirle. Acércate al Señor hoy con la seguridad de que él está complacido contigo no por lo que haces, sino por lo que crees.
Oración:
Padre, vengo con un corazón que quiere complacerte. Perdóname por pensar que todas las cosas buenas que hago son más importantes que un corazón que cree en ti y que continuamente busca hacer tu voluntad. Tengo fe en ti y esperaré pacientemente la recompensa de buscarte.
Faith Please!
Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. HEBREWS 11:6
We spend a lot of our lives trying to please people, whether it is a tidy house, a delicious meal, a great birthday present, or new clothes. It seems that to gain approval we need to do things that make us look good to others.
This is often how we approach God, with great effort to do the right things to please him. But the Bible says that it is impossible to please him without faith. What is faith? It is a belief in your heart and a confession with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. It is not what you do that will please God; it is a heart that seeks to follow him. Approach the Lord today with a surety that he is pleased with you, not because of what you do but because of what you believe.
Prayer:
Father, I come with a heart that wants to please you. Forgive me for thinking that all the good things that I do are more important than a heart that believes in you and continually seeks your will. I have faith in you, and I will wait patiently for the reward of seeking you.
