Mateo 23:27-28
¡Ay de vosotros, escribas y fariseos, hipócritas! porque sois semejantes a sepulcros blanqueados, que por fuera, a la verdad, se muestran hermosos, mas por dentro están llenos de huesos de muertos y de toda inmundicia. Así también vosotros por fuera, a la verdad, os mostráis justos a los hombres, pero por dentro estáis llenos de hipocresía e iniquidad.
Desde el primer momento que decidimos caminar con Dios debemos tener un corazón genuino con Él. Podremos engañar a los hombres pero no a Él. Dios sabe si realmente estamos arrepentidos o cualquier otra condición del corazón. Él lo sabe.
1 Samuel 16:7
Y Jehová respondió a Samuel: No mires a su parecer, ni a lo grande de su estatura, porque yo lo desecho; porque Jehová no mira lo que mira el hombre; pues el hombre mira lo que está delante de sus ojos, pero Jehová mira el corazón.
Los fariseos eran las personas que servían en el templo, enseñaban la palabra de Dios y fueron los que estuvieron en contra de Juan El Bautista y Jesús.
▪️¿Porqué Jesús los llama hipócritas?
Ya que los fariseos ponían mucha atención a las ordenanzas y los hechos exteriores que les daban la apariencia de ser rectos, pero no les preocupaba realmente ser rectos en su corazón.
▪️ ¿Y Por qué los llama sepulcros blanqueados?
La expresión sepulcros blanqueados es una metáfora que emplea Jesús en el Evangelio de San Mateo para comparar a los fariseos con sepulcros blanqueados, relucientes por fuera, pero llenos de podredumbre repugnante y vomitiva en su interior.
▪️Por qué Jesús uso éstas palabras tan fuertes hacia los fariseos?
Lucas 12:48
Pero alguien que no lo sabe y hace algo malo, será castigado levemente. Alguien a quien se le ha dado mucho, mucho se le pedirá a cambio; y alguien a quien se le ha confiado mucho, aún más se le exigirá.
Los fariseos servían a Dios, tenían el privilegio de ser líderes de su pueblo y vivían de las ofrendas que el pueblo daba a Dios además sabían muy bien la palabra de Dios, eran maestros de la palabra., por eso Jesús les exigía más a ellos que a cualquier otra persona; porque sabiendo hacer lo bueno, hacían lo malo.
Y tenían además mucho orgullo en su corazón, ya que no reconocían sus fallas.
El ser humano peca y falla por naturaleza, no hay necesidad de aparentar, todos nos equivocamos y tomamos decisiones erróneas en algún momento de nuestras vidas, Dios solo quiere que seamos auténticos, el reconocer que te equivocaste, te hace ser una persona valiente por enfrentar y confrontar tus errores; el aceptar tus fallas también manifiesta que hay humildad en tu corazón.
Por otro lado debemos ser honestos con nosotros mismos, y decidir que es lo que queremos hacer, respecto a las circunstancias que estemos viviendo en nuestra vida, analizar y meditar en lo que anhela nuestro corazón, de ahi presentalo en oración a Dios, el te guiará a través de su palabra, por un sermón, o por una consejo de tu líder espiritual y asi no te engañaras a ti mismo, ni a nadie.
Dios nos habla de diferentes maneras pero siempre confirmalo a través de su palabra.
Salmo 119:105
Lámpara es a mis pies tu palabra, Y lumbrera a mi camino.
Conclusión:
▪️Si sirves a Dios analiza por qué lo estás sirviendo.
▪️Utilizas la palabra de Dios para manipular o atacar a otras personas?
▪️Estás reconociendo tus fallas?
▪️Quieres continuar cometiendo los mismos errores?
“Cuando aparentas a los demás algo que tú no eres, esto es una falsa humildad “
Oración:
Padre celestial tu palabra nos revela señor precioso que tú no miras la apariencia que tú miras el corazón ; por eso limpia nuestros corazones quitando toda impiedad para no ser sepulcros blanqueados llenos de hipocresía , maldad y llenos de religiosidad te pedimos Espíritu Santo que tengamos un cambio radical de adentro hacia fuera donde toda falsa humildad se vaya de nuestras vidas y podamos tener la genuinidad que tiene Cristo Jesús para honrar tú precioso nombre ; en el nombre de Jesús , Amen!
False Humility
Matthew 23: 27-28
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you are similar to whitewashed tombs, which on the outside, indeed, appear beautiful, but inside are full of the bones of the dead and all filthiness. So also you on the outside, indeed, you show yourselves righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
From the first moment we decide to walk with God, we must have a genuine heart with Him. We can deceive men but not Him. God knows if we are really sorry or any other condition of the heart. He knows.
1 Samuel 16: 7
And the Lord said to Samuel: Do not look at his appearance, or at the greatness of his stature, for I will reject him; for Jehovah does not look at what man looks at; for man looks at what is before his eyes, but the Lord looks at the heart.
The Pharisees were the people who served in the temple, taught the word of God, and were the ones who were against John the Baptist and Jesus.▪︎Why does Jesus call them hypocrites?
For the Pharisees paid close attention to outward acts and ordinances that gave them the appearance of righteousness, but they were not really concerned with being righteous in their heart.
▪︎ And why do you call them whitewashed tombs?
The expression whitewashed tombs is a metaphor used by Jesus in the Gospel of Saint Matthew to compare the Pharisees with whitewashed tombs, shiny on the outside, but full of disgusting and vomiting rot on the inside.
▪︎Why did Jesus use these strong words towards the Pharisees?
Luke 12:48
But someone who does not know and does something wrong will be punished lightly. Someone who has been given much, much will be asked in return; and someone who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded.
The Pharisees served God, they had the privilege of being leaders of his people and they lived on the offerings that the people gave to God, they also knew the word of God very well, they were teachers of the word, that’s why Jesus demanded more of them than any other person; because knowing how to do good, they did bad.
And they also had a lot of pride in their hearts, since they did not recognize their faults.
Human beings sin and fail by nature, there is no need to pretend, we all make mistakes and make wrong decisions at some point in our lives, God only wants us to be authentic, recognizing that you were wrong makes you be a brave person to face and confront your mistakes; Accepting your failures also shows that there is humility in your heart.
On the other hand, we must be honest with ourselves, and decide what we want to do, regarding the circumstances that we are living in our life, analyze and meditate on what our heart longs for, hence present it in prayer to God, He’ll guide you through your word, by a sermon, or by an advice from your spiritual leader so that you will not deceive yourself or anyone else.
God speaks to us in different ways but always confirms it through his word.
Psalm 119: 105
Your word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path.
Conclusion:
▪︎If you serve God, analyze why you are serving him.
▪︎ Do you use the word of God to manipulate or attack other people?
▪ Are you acknowledging your faults?
▪ Do you want to continue making the same mistakes?
“When you appear to others something that you are not, this is a false humility
Prayer:
Heavenly Father your word reveals to us precious Lord that You do not look at the appearance that You look at the heart; cleanse our hearts by removing all impurity so as not to be whitewashed tombs full of hypocrisy, evil and full of religiosity we ask the Holy Spirit that we have a radical change from the inside out where all false humility leaves our lives and we can have the genuineness that Christ Jesus has to honor Your precious name; In the name of Jesus, amen!
