Aprendí una de mis lecciones más valiosas sobre la oración cuando realicé un viaje misionero a un país bastante remoto, a pesar de que en mi ausencia se celebraría una reunión crucial en casa. Pasé el viaje preocupado por cómo resultaría la reunión. Eso fue antes de que existieran los teléfonos móviles, así que no podía recibir actualizaciones, por lo que eso me distrajo mucho. Aunque había una diferencia horaria de ocho horas, decidí orar a la hora exacta en que se celebraba la reunión. Mientras conversaba con el Señor hasta bien entrada la noche, Dios habló claramente a mi espíritu ansioso: «¿Quién prefieres que asista a la reunión, tú o yo?». Me reí a carcajadas mientras Dios ponía fin rápidamente a mi inquietud.
Este es un principio que es esencial que captes. Cuando oras, estás invitando a Dios a involucrarse en tus circunstancias y poniendo activamente los resultados en sus manos soberanas, capaces y dispuestas. Así que hoy, ¿hay alguna situación que esté fuera de tu control? ¿Estás ansioso porque no puedes defender tu caso o cambiar tu situación? Recuerda, el Señor puede. Él es quien está en tu lugar y te defiende. Confía en Él para que sea y haga lo que tú no puedes.

Jesús, gracias porque estas circunstancias están en tus manos fuertes, capaces y sabias. Amén.
He Stands for You

Ilearned one of my most valuable lessons on prayer when I took a mission trip to a rather remote country, even though a crucial meeting would take place at home in my absence. As I traveled, I found myself constantly worrying about the outcome. This was before cell phones, so I couldn’t get updates and was very distracted. Although there was an eight-hour time difference, I decided to pray at the precise time the meeting was held. As I talked to the Lord late into the evening, God spoke clearly to my anxious spirit: “Who would you rather attend the meeting, you or Me?” I laughed out loud as God quickly put an end to my fretting.
This is a principle that is essential for you to grasp. When you pray, you are inviting God to become involved in your circumstances and actively placing the results into His sovereign, capable, willing hands. So today, is there a situation that is out of your control? Are you anxious because you cannot plead your case or change your situation? Remember, the Lord can. He is the One who stands in your place and defends you. Trust Him to be and do what you cannot.

Jesus, thank You that these circumstances are in Your strong, capable, and wise hands. Amen.
