Por muy bonito o imperfecto que haya sido el amor de tu padre terrenal hacia ti, el amor de tu Padre celestial no tiene ningún límite. Descansa en esa idea durante un momento. Nada de lo que hagas podrá cambiar sus sentimientos hacia ti. Nada.
Pasamos mucho tiempo intentando convertirnos en personas más atractivas e interesantes: desde dietas de belleza hasta aprender cocina gourmet, pasando por estar disponibles para ayudar a casi todo el mundo. Es fácil olvidar que ya somos perfectamente amados. Nuestro Padre nos ama más de lo que podemos imaginar. Y él haría cualquier cosa por nosotros. Cualquier cosa.
Oración:
Dios, te doy las gracias porque el amor que tengo por la persona más cercana a mí no es más que una fracción del que tú tienes por mí. Me maravilla tu inconmensurable y tremendo amor por mí.
The Father’s Love
“If a man has a hundred sheep but one of the sheep gets lost, he will leave the other ninety-nine on the hill and go to look for the lost sheep. I tell you the truth, if he finds it he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that were never lost.” MATTHEW 18:12-13 N C V
Regardless of how beautifully or imperfectly your earthly father showed his love, your heavenly Father’s love is utterly boundless. Rest in that thought a moment. There is nothing you can do to change how he feels about you. Nothing.
We spend so much time trying to make ourselves more lovable, from beauty regimens to gourmet baking, to being there for pretty much everyone. It’s easy to forget we are already perfectly loved. Our Father loves us more than we can imagine. And he would do anything for us. Anything.
Prayer:
God I thank you that the love I have for my very closest companion is a mere fraction of the love you have for me. I am amazed by your immeasurable, great love for me.
