¿Creo en la promesa de vida eterna de Jesús? Perder a un ser querido es un dolor como ningún otro. Es crudo y te corta profundamente el corazón. A menudo te preguntas cómo superarás el dolor y la angustia de perder a esa persona. Incluso puedes pasar por períodos de depresión, desesperación e incluso negar que la persona realmente se ha ido.
Todas esas emociones son comunes y está completamente bien sentir dolor en diferentes etapas. El proceso de duelo es diferente y único, al igual que el mecanismo para afrontar la pérdida. La buena noticia es que cualquiera que crea en Jesucristo como su Señor y Salvador nunca morirá. Si su ser querido cree en Jesús como su Salvador, ¡Entonces tendrá vida eterna en el cielo! Te están esperando en el Cielo y puedes sentirte reconfortado sabiendo que los volverás a ver cuando llegues allí.
Siempre que pases por un momento de pena, recuerda esta oración: “Señor, te doy gracias porque tus promesas son verdaderas. ¡Gracias porque algún día volveré a ver a mi ser querido en el cielo! Gracias porque, a través de mi salvación en Jesús, la muerte nunca llega a tener la victoria final”.
Grief after Loss
“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 1 Corinthians 15:55
Do I believe Jesus’ promise of eternal life? Losing a beloved is a pain like no other. It’s raw and cuts you deep within your heart. Often your question how you will ever get past the grief and the anguish of losing that person. You may even go through periods of depression, despair, and even denial that the person is really gone.
All of those emotions are common, and it’s completely okay to feel grief in different stages. The grieving process is different and unique, as is the mechanism of coping with loss. The great news is that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will never die. If your loved one believes in Jesus as their Savior, then they have eternal life in Heaven! They are waiting for you in Heaven, and you can have comfort knowing that you will see them again when you get there.
Whenever you go through grief, remember this prayer: “Lord, I thank you that your promises are true. Thank you that I will see my loved one in Heaven again one day! Thank you that, through my salvation in Jesus, death doesn’t ever get to have the final victory.”
