Isaias 6:5-7
Entonces dije: ¡Ay de mí! que soy muerto; porque siendo hombre inmundo de labios, y habitando en medio de pueblo que tiene labios inmundos, han visto mis ojos al Rey, Jehová de los ejércitos. Y voló hacia mí uno de los serafines, teniendo en su mano un carbón encendido, tomado del altar con unas tenazas; y tocando con él sobre mi boca, dijo: He aquí que esto tocó tus labios, y es quitada tu culpa, y limpio tu pecado.
Isaias siente temor de Dios, al estar en su presencia, el era un hombre de Dios pero al igual que todos nosotros necesitamos a Jesús que nos cubre y limpia nuestros pecados para poder estar ante la presencia de Dios.
Ahora tu y yo tenemos la oportunidad de aceptar a Jesús para que reine en nuestro corazón y su Santo Espíritu obra en nosotros a través de la Palabra de Dios.
Y este es un día especial porque es el día en el cual tenemos la oportunidad de crecer en santidad. Crecemos en santidad cuando tenemos comunión con Dios y seguimos la guía del Espíritu Santo, no cuando nos esforzamos por seguir las normas y reglamentos religiosos. Las disciplinas espirituales son importantes, pero deberíamos evitar que se conviertan en leyes. Por ejemplo, es bueno leer y estudiar la Palabra de Dios tanto como sea posible, pero no existe ninguna ley que exprese que si omitimos un día, Dios se enojará con usted o estará decepcionado. La manera para crecer en santidad es simple: solo comprométase a seguir la paz. Si usted tiene paz en sus pensamientos, sus palabras, sus comportamientos, entonces continúe en ellos; pero si tiene una sensación incómoda en su espíritu o ausencia de paz, podría tratarse de una señal por parte del Espíritu Santo de que sus acciones no sean las adecuadas. Cuanto más se someta a la guía de Dios, será cada vez más feliz. Cuando Dios nos concede otro día de vida, es un don valioso, el cual debería usarse para su gloria y honor.
Oración:
Padre, gracias porque en este día puedo crecer en santidad. Te pido que me ayudes a discernir aquellas cosas con las que estás de acuerdo y en desacuerdo, y que pueda vivir en este caminar contigo transformandome, amando lo que tu amas y rechazando lo que tu abominas. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén!
God sanctifies me
Isaiah 6: 5-7
Then I said: Woe is me! that I am dead; for being a man of unclean lips, and dwelling in the midst of a people who have unclean lips, my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. And one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal, taken from the altar with tongs; and touching with it on my mouth, he said: Behold, this touched your lips, and your guilt is removed, and your sin is cleansed.
Isaiah feels fear of God, being in the presence of him, he was a man of God but like all of us we need Jesus who covers us and cleanses our sins in order to be in the presence of God.
Now you and I have the opportunity to accept Jesus to reign in our hearts and his Holy Spirit works from him in us through the Word of God.
And this is a special day because it is the day in which we have the opportunity to grow in holiness. We grow in holiness when we fellowship with God and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, not when we strive to follow religious rules and regulations. Spiritual disciplines are important, but we should prevent them from becoming laws. For example, it is good to read and study God’s Word as much as possible, but there is no law stating that if we miss a day, God will be angry with you or disappointed. The way to grow in holiness is simple: just commit to pursuing peace. If you have peace in your thoughts, your words, your behaviors, then continue in them; But if you have an uncomfortable feeling in your spirit or lack of peace, it could be a signal from the Holy Spirit that your actions are not appropriate. The more you submit to God’s guidance, the happier you will be. When God grants us another day of life, it is a valuable gift, which should be used for his glory and honor.
Prayer:
Father, thank you that on this day I can grow in holiness. I ask you to help me discern those things with which you agree and disagree, and that I can live in this walk with you transforming myself, loving what you love and rejecting what you abominate. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
