Dios quiere redimir a los seres humanos de las manos de Satanás y reconciliarlos con él de manera que podamos cumplir los cinco propósitos: amarlo, ser parte de su familia, ser igual a él, servirle y contarle a otros acerca de él. Una vez que le pertenecemos, Dios nos usa para alcanzar a otros. Nos salva y nos envía afuera. La Biblia dice: «Nosotros hemos sido enviados para hablar de Cristo». Somos los mensajeros del amor de Dios y sus propósitos para el mundo.
La importancia de tu misión
Cumplir tu misión en la tierra es una parte esencial de vivir para la gloria de Dios. La Biblia nos ofrece razones de por qué tu misión es tan importante. Tu misión es una continuación de la misión de Jesús en la tierra. Como sus seguidores, debemos continuar lo que él comenzó. Jesús nos llamó no solo a venir a él, sino a ir por él.
Tu misión es tan importante que Jesús la repitió cinco veces, de cinco maneras realmente diferentes, en cinco libros distintos de la Biblia. Es como si dijera: «¡Realmente quiero que hagas esto!». Estudia esas cinco comisiones de Jesús y aprenderás los detalles de tu misión en la tierra: cuándo, dónde, por qué y cómo.
En la Gran Comisión, Jesús dijo: «Vayan y hagan discípulos de todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo, enseñándoles a obedecer todo lo que les he mandado a ustedes. Y les aseguro que estaré con ustedes siempre, hasta el fin del mundo». Esta comisión le fue asignada a cada seguidor de Cristo, no a los pastores o misioneros solamente. Esta es tu comisión de parte del Señor y no es optativa. Estas palabras de Jesús no fueron la Gran Sugerencia. Si eres parte de la familia de Dios, tu misión es obligatoria. Y si la ignoras eres desobediente.
Puede que no hayas estado consciente de que Dios te da una responsabilidad con los no creyentes que te rodean. La Biblia dice: «Si tú no le hablas al malvado ni le haces ver su mala conducta, para que siga viviendo, ese malvado morirá por causa de su pecado, pero yo te pediré cuentas de su muerte». Quizás tú eres el único cristiano que esas personas conozcan y tu misión es hablarles de Jesús.

Jesús nos llamó no solo a venir a él, sino a ir por él.
DAY 36/Second part • Made For a Mission
Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”

God wants to redeem human beings from Satan and reconcile them to himself so we can fulfill the five purposes he created us for: to love him, to be a part of his family, to become like him, to serve him, and to tell others about him. Once we are his, God uses us to reach others. He saves us and then sends us out. The Bible says, “We have been sent to speak for Christ.” We are the messengers of God’s love and purposes to the world.
The Importance of Your Mission
Fulfilling your life mission on earth is an essential part of living for God’s glory. The Bible gives several reasons why your mission is so important.
Your mission is a continuation of Jesus’ mission on earth. As his followers, we are to continue what Jesus started. Jesus calls us not only to come to him, but to go for him. Your mission is so significant that Jesus repeated it five times, in five different ways, in five different books of the Bible. It is as if he was saying, “I really want you to get this!” Study these five commissions of Jesus and you will learn the details of your mission on earth — the when, where, why, and how.
In the Great Commission Jesus said, “Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you.” This commission was given to every follower of Jesus, not to pastors and missionaries alone. This is your commission from Jesus, and it is not optional. These words of Jesus are not the Great Suggestion. If you are a part of God’s family, your mission is mandatory. To ignore it would be disobedience.
You may have been unaware that God holds you responsible for the unbelievers who live around you. The Bible says, “You must warn them so they may live. If you don’t speak out to warn the wicked to stop their evil ways, they will die in their sin. But I will hold you responsible for their death.” You are the only Christian some people will ever know, and your mission is to share Jesus with them.
