Saber cuál es tu propósito te prepara para la vida después de que mueras. Sí, lo has leído bien. La vida después de la muerte. Un día comparecerás delante de Dios, y él examinará tu vida antes de que entres en la eternidad. Afortunadamente, Dios quiere que superes esta prueba, de manera que te ha entregado las respuestas por adelantado.
En primer lugar, «¿Qué hiciste con mi Hijo, Jesucristo?». La respuesta determinará dónde pasarás la eternidad. Lo único que importa es si aceptaste lo que Jesús hizo por ti y aprendiste a amarlo y a confiar en él. Jesús afirmó: «Yo soy el camino y la verdad y la vida… Nadie llega al Padre sino por mí» (Juan 14.6).
Segundo, «¿Qué hiciste con lo que yo te di?». ¿Qué hiciste con tu vida, todos los dones, talentos, energía y relaciones? ¿Los gastaste en ti o los usaste para los propósitos que Dios diseñó para ti? La respuesta determinará lo que harás en la eternidad.
Seguir los caminos de Dios te preparará para dar las mejores respuestas.
Oración
Señor, pasé mucho tiempo centrándome en mí mismo. Ayúdame a usar lo que me diste para tus propósitos y no para mi propio beneficio.
Day 30 • Heaven Ready
For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat…. So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
(ROMANS 14:10B, 12)
Knowing your purpose prepares you for life after you die. Yes, you read that right. Life after death. One day you will stand before God, and he will examine your life before you enter eternity. Fortunately, God wants you to pass this test, so he has given you the questions ahead of time.
First, “What did you do with my Son, Jesus Christ?” The answer will determine where you spend eternity. The only thing that will matter is if you accepted what Jesus did for you and learned to love and trust him. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
Second, “What did you do with what I gave you?” What did you do with your life—all the gifts, talents, energy, and relationships? Did you spend them on yourself, or did you use them for the purposes God made you for? The answer will determine what you do in eternity.
Following God’s ways will prepare you to give the best answers.
Prayer
I spend a lot of time focusing on myself, Lord. Help me to use what you gave me for your purposes and not for my own gain.
