¿Conoces a alguien que sea el favorito del maestro o el jugador preferido del entrenador? Tal vez tú te hayas encontrado en un lugar de honor así antes. El maestro te pide que seas su ayudante, o el entrenador te deja ser el capitán del equipo. ¡Qué bien sienta ser el favorito!
¿Sabías que Dios no tiene favoritos? Aunque escoge a personas para distintos trabajos y les concede diferentes bendiciones, ama a todos por igual. Cada uno tiene la oportunidad de conocer a Dios y creer en su hijo Jesucristo.
Jesús murió en la cruz para pagar el precio por los pecados de todos. Nadie se queda fuera. Y nadie recibe más gracia que los demás. Los dones de Dios son gratuitos para quien se los pida y lo reconozca como Señor. No hay requisitos especiales ni exigencias para ciertas personas. Todos son iguales: acude a Dios en busca del perdón de tus pecados y el don de la vida eterna. No hay favoritos.
Oración
Jesús, gracias por el don de la salvación y la gracia. Me das de forma gratuita, y oro por [nombra a tus amigos o familia que no conocen a Cristo] para que también reciban estos dones de ti.
Day 24 – All In
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. (ROMANS 3:23–24)
Know anyone who is the teacher’s pet or the coach’s favorite player? Maybe you’ve been in a place of honor like that before. The teacher asks you to be the helper or the coach lets you be captain of the team. It feels good to be favored.
Did you know that God doesn’t have favorites? Though he chooses people for different jobs and gives people different blessings, he loves everyone the same. Everyone has the opportunity to know God and believe in his son Jesus Christ.
Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for everyone’s sins. No one is left out. And no one gets more grace than anyone else. God’s gifts are free to whoever asks and acknowledges God as Lord. There are no special qualifications or requirements for certain people. It’s all the same: turn to God for forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. No favorites.
Prayer
Jesus, thank you for the gift of salvation and grace. You give freely to me, and I pray for [name your friends or family who don’t know Christ] to receive these gifts from you too.
